Duke Williams gone to Buffalo. I heard somewhere he was a potential target at Safety. :-(

Shamerko Thomas gone to Pitt. :explode:

He certainly fits the bill and would be great value - CBS had him as a possible 2nd rounder for us this time yesterday.

I'm not a huge Phillip Thomas fan. But he's a good player. We will see.

phillip Thomas seems logical, but Jordan poyer would be a great addition as well. but who knows, it'll probably be a running back

I prefer Poyer to Thomas. But if RB is the pick. Kenjon Barner.

Outstanding... if he were on the team last year, we would have won that first Giants game...

I like the pick, he'll be good in the zone. Turnover machine.

I agree on all counts. There is a big drop on free safeties after this round. BUT I would not be surprised if we take another pick at the other strong safety position down the Draft to complement this pick.

Definitely, a possibility at SS but not the only good one. I would be happy with him.

Good news now is we can look at best player available since we've shored up the secondary some. Best 3rd down back, OL, DB, or LB at this point.

I suspect we might take a RB or OT in the 5th pick. You might be right. Barner is beginning to look as one of the BPA as the Draft goes on. Somebody else might grab him before we get there though.

There are so many player analysis sites out there, but I'm partial to this one on Philip Thomas. I hope he lives up to this.
