Jeremiah thought he had a free rushing lane.
Yeah, well he and the rest of the linebackers have THOUGHT wrong a whole bunch more than they have right.
If he'd gotten there and sacked the quarterback, we'd be talking about what a great play he made
Yeah, well he didn't
.But if you're going to do that, you need to make sure you're right. He was wrong. He knows he was wrong
No crap.
The Redskins, who have the league's 26th-ranked defense, also were hurt by unauthorized blitzes at key moments in losses to the New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Here's where one of the problems lay...In the NFL you CANNOT GAMBLE EVERY SINGLE DOWN!!!! The linebackers need exact assignments on each and every single play and they must be able to follow them and if they don't, they MUST be held accountable...Okay, to be fair, SOMETIMES the gamble pays off--but lets be honest folks, MOST of the time it doesn't...thats why our 3 Pro Bowl "Calibur" players are playing like a bunch of chumps--because they are allowed to roam free and go wherever they want which leaves them out of position all the time!!! This is why George Edwards is not cutting it people...You cannot have a scheme that relies on your Linebackers "Roaming" going wherever they want and do whatever they want...Of course at the same time (like discussed in earlier posts) why they play soft coverage on passing situations to allow first downs every single time is beyond me...man, what a dissapointment
