SOS Monday press conference

Post by BossHog »

Spurrier's 4pm Monday press conference is posted at Redskins.com for your 'enjoyment'.

...the usual drivel... 20 full minutes of... no answers... no idea why it happened... no accountability... whole lotta... we're gonna try to get better... we're gonna try coach em better... we're hoping we can improve... we're hoping we can block better...

It's really starting to sound like a broken record...
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

He knows what's wrong and sounds ignorant tap dancing around the questions. He's not fooling anyone. We all watch the game, read the quotes, the articles, and see the commentary on TV. Just come out and say you have a problem, Stevie...it's like AA. "Hi, my names Steve, and my ballclub stinks."

My name's Texas Hog, and I'm super depressed about the way this season has turned out.

Will we see or hear anything positive the rest of this year?

About the only thing I could possibly wish for is to play spoiler and beat the pukes in week 16, knocking their sorry asses out of playoff contention. That would be sweet.
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.

Spoiler would be great, and it would put us on a 2-0 streak at home against them. It would be nice to have a streak of our own against the cowpies, and knocking them out of the playoffs would be icing on the cake...

Positives...

I think we could see several positives before the year is out. I think if they give Hasslebeck a chance, he could prove to be a very reliable back-up. Additionally, Darrell Russell could use the rest of the season to get himself to game form and really be a formidable force up the middle. On the shadier side, if we did finish with a lackluster record, we could score some nice draft picks, and bolter our line on both sides with some fat guys. Just trying to help, Texas Hog...
