First 5 picks!!

Post by skinsfb4life »

I have put a lot of time into breaking down players and grading them for the Redskins needs and fits. Let me know what you think of my thoughts and ideas for the skins 2013 draft.

Round 2: CB Darius Slay or Jamar Taylor
If not either of them available go S Matt Elam

( If they go Safety it changes the next few picks so I will put what down the next picks if they went safety and if they got one of the two CB's).

Round 3: WR Terrence Williams ]OT Kyle Long or OL Barrat Jones If they go S in the first round take CB Robert Alford

Round 4: Now if there able to get one of the two CB's in the second round go S TJ Mcdonald or S Bacarri Rambo other options if went Safety first pick and CB Robert Alford is not available in round 3 go CB Dwayn Gratz . If both Safety and CB have been selected in first two rounds take OT Jordan Mills

Round 5 First pick: OT Jordan Mills if not selected in round 4 and still available or TE's Nick Kasa or Ryan Otten
For the Second pick in the firth round: ILB Michael Mauti ( this is Fletchers replacement if it wasn't for the knee injury he is an easy
second round pick!!) Also possible selection WR Chris Harper
or ILB AJ Klien
.

To summarize and put down my perfect scenario first five picks

Round 2: CB Darius Slay
Round 3: WR Terrence Williams
Round 4: S TJ Mcdonald ( will look familiar if he wore that 21 jersey!)
Round 5: OT Jordan Mills and ILB Michael Mauti ( London Fletchers replacement)

If you have any questions on why I selected certain people over others in the draft just post your questions. Like i said I have put in a lot of time breaking this down so I feel that I have very good reasons why they fit Just right for the Redskins!!

Welcome aboard newbie. My first post looked worse. Anyhow I haven't heard of this Slay? Can you provide a highlight video?

Haven't heard of slay? He is ranked in top 10 CBs in the draft and many have him in the top 5! But he might not even be available for us in the second round!

But the more I do my research I really think with all the CB talent in the draft I am not sure if we have to go with a CB in the second round we might be able to get the same talent in the 4th round. CB Logan Ryan would be a great fit !!!

David Amerson AKA I get beat for TD's... NO thank you! He has great numbers as far as interceptions but that is b/c he is the type of corner who jumps underneath routes.. But that is why he is none to get beat deep!

Mathieu... i just don't like his off the field problems and he hasn't played football for a year.. He reminds me of someone Dallas would jump after.

Also don't know why we would go with the same position with our first two picks!

Thomas I like him a lot but compared to Baccari and Mcdonald I just feel like he is a step below them. but who knows if the other two will be available at that pick so I can see Thomas being taken!

Nixon... I really like him also but I see him going in the 4th round!

My honest opinion I see slay being gone early second round by Jags, Titans, Tampa or Carolina so it's kinda a dream world that he slips down to us. But realistically I see us getting Safety Matt Elam and if you havent seen his highlight film here it is!!!

Slay is a beast. Ran the fastest 40 time at the combine out of the DBs. J Banks is good from MSU, he's got the size. Lacks the speed but is a shut down corner. Won the Thorpe award. I like Elam from Florida, could be an instant starter depending on Jackson and Meriweather's status.

I agree with you! I like Eric Reid more than Elam from florida just b/c is cover skills and plays FS more so than SS and that's what we need more. How about TJ mcdonald what is your thoughts?
