THN summarized the day's events and maintained a log of relevant Redskins news throughout the day. Give them a look.
Redskins Quiet on Day One of Free Agency
The Redskins showed a newfound level of maturity and restraint (albeit forced because of the cap penalty) and laid low as the Miami Dolphins took center stage on the first day of the new league year.
I think it's going to turn out that Mara cost us Fred Davis and Lorenzo Alexander. Yes, some players that we could have pursued but didn't, too . . . but to me losing those two would be a real slap in the face.
I hope we push around the Giants again this upcoming season. It was so great to pay them back on the field.

I could more live with the loss of Lorenzo than Fred. I think Lorenzo has reached and exceeded his ceiling, Fred not even close. I'm bitter enough as it is about the hosing on the cap situation, Losing Fred would send me through the roof.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"
I doubt that Fred leaves because of $ - If Mike & Kyle want Fred they will find a way to keep him - he's only leaving if they feel we'll be OK without him
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
