Redskin All-Time Team Poll - Center

Post by DarthMonk »

I've looked and, to me, these are the only two worth considering.

Jeff Bostic ~ 1980-1993

Len Hauss ~ 1964-1977, missed zero games

There is only one... Len Hauss. 192 consecutive starts. Pro Bowl 6 consecutive seasons. Len Hauss... was a rock. The closest is Bostic... but it's really not that close.

Bostic was OK... struggled A LOT early... constantly had to claw and scrape to keep his position. Gibbs was never completely comfortable with him.

I think they are about even. Maybe Hauss a shade better.

Of the 2 listed, Clearly Hauss, but I think Al DeMao deserves consideration. I would rank them:
1) Hauss
2) DeMao
3) Bostic

This is not unreasonable but I'll say DeMao was more LB than Center.

Thank you.

Lenn Hauss for sure. One can only imagine what might have been if he had been part of the Hogs.

Bostic became better as time went by and he will be remembered as a key member of the Hogs.
