need some advice and info form people that went to tranin ca

Post by PatrickRamsey4probol »

I have a few questions. I am going fruday at 9. When should i get there if i want to get a good seat (bringing chairs). I hear these things are pretty popular. Should i get ther at 8 30? 8 15? 8 00? Also, i know they have souveneir stands there, do they have like a redskins magazine with player profiles for each player or for alot of the stars? I was just thinking that would be good for autographs. Whats the traffic like coming from northern virgnina (alexandria)? Thanks alot guys

The basic order has been that when the gates open, their are people in line waiting. I would get there as early as possible, bearing in mind that you will probably have to sit around and wait for them ot open the gates.

We got our Redskins yearbook from the Redskins store this year. We got it at Redskins Park last year, so I would assume they have them again this year. It will set you back around $10.00. It is excellent for autographs. Bring your own sharpie though. Those are $3-$6 bucks at the park.

Unfortunately, it's a catch-22 for you. The earlier you leave the closer you get to the heart of rush hour. I have never made the drive specifically from Alexandria to Reskins park. I used to live in Anne Arundel County and commute to Herndon though, and that was easily a 1-1/2 to 2 hour drive most days. It took me 30 minutes or so to get to the wilson bridge and my office in herndon was about 20 minutes away from redskins park. You will hit less traffic if you take the toll road, but it will cost you 50 cents to get on the toll road and then like 2.25 to get on the greenway. You can skip the 2.25 if you take the last exit before the greenway, which is route 28 towards Leesburg. From there, you should be able to follow the signs. Basically a left on Waxpool Road. A right on Loudoun County Parkway go till you see redkins officials directing traffic.

How long of a drive would I expect coming from Greenbelt, MD? My grandfather lives about 15 min. away from 6 flags and I might stay there and leave instead of from Baltimore.

Doors will open at 8... that's a good time to get there.

The souvenir stand does have a book with nice pics and stuff for you to get signed.

Traffic from Alexandria I'm not sure about... probably best to not ask the Canadian on that one. I will say that so far, traffic into the park has been hectic at times, but the staff have been pounding people in and delays have been limited.

There was 8000 people there yesterday... it was packed. There was a lineup at the gate to walk in (after parking)... it took less than 2 minutes to get in.

Hope that helps.

are football cars worth more if they are signed, because i have some football cards of redskins players, and I was wondering if i could get those signed, would it lessen there value? Where should i get it signed, back ro front? I have to Brunell Cards, one made in 1997, and the other in 200. I say the 1997 one, because older cards ar worht mpre value right? Any help with football card signing is helpful, thanks guys

we get cards signed, if it's a nice card that we want to display somewhere. I think it adds to their value as long as they don't sign it to you specifically, although I don't really track the value of my collectibles since I plan on keeping them. Typically, they would sign the picture on the front.

I don't know for sure, but I would assume that they don't. They don't have anything there that you can't get from the redskins store, so if you have a catalog or want to check out the online redskins store you should be able to find out if they have them. Even if they do though, these are just little trailers and certainly do not carry everything the stores do.

They'll hit you for 35 cents at the Rte 28 exit.

Go about 2 miles north on 28 (you'll pass the hotel everyone's at on the right), then left on Waxhall. (Another of those intersections with construction all over) Stay on there about a mile, then right on Loudoun County Pkwy.

I had to come up with some way where I wasn't paying $6 in tolls every day. (Actually, Rte 7 to 28 south or Rte 66/50 to 28 north would result in tolls of $0.00, but they're not ideal routes if you're coming from Md)
