Let's trade Lavar!
I think that we should trade Lavar Arrington and see what we can get for him. C'mon the guy is a total headcase. He throws pies in rookies eyes and he signed a contract and now he's upaet because he didn't get what he thought he should have. I think he's going to hold out to get the contract he wanted. I bet he'll fire his agents too. Well whatever happens this shows he has no character and doesn't want to be a Redskin. He's not a real pro and doesn't want to be a great player, he just wants the money. These are some serious character issues guys.

If he didn't want to be a Redskin, WHY would he sign a contract extension????

Everyone, I'm joking. Do you see how everyone thinks that this idea is crazy. Well, this is no different than what people have said about Sean Taylor! Same type of contract dispute, same problems with agents, he caused one of Taylor's little incidents! Go back and read what I wrote. And yet it is unthinkable to trade Lavar. So basically I'm just trying to say give the kid a break. Let him prove himself. A few hickups does not mean he's going to be a bust or that he doesn't want to be a Redskin. I say we all give him some support!

Precisely, and if Taylor didn't want to be a 'Skin he wouldn't have signed either.

air_hog. That was an inappropriate response. On these boards...we don't call people names. You make challenge someone's opinion without calling them names (i.e., a "loser"). Please refrain from doing so in the future.

Except for me, of course, because I am one. Actually I was more offended by the use of "your" when it should have been "you're".
I'm up for trading Lavar if we can get Manning, Hall & Gonzales. Not Peyton, Dante & Tony, but Archie, Monty & Speedy. I'm kidding, of course, if there is a "Mr. Redskin" right now, aside from Gibbs, I'd have to say it's Lavar.
My car doesn't go fast, but if you're important, people will wait for you.
No, Danny, NO!!

We should really vote you off the message board for that suggestion, lol. I really think that is the most outragious thing that i have ever heard of from a redskin fan since i was 5 yrs old. I will forgive you because, we as fans dont have anything to really talk about. Buddy please don't ever make a statement like that again.
,

I agree with you that Lavar has some issues. But he is a good player and I don't think they warrant cutting him. My biggest issue is the contract dispute. I just find it hard to believe that numbers like that are being thrown around and he would sign without proofreading the darn thing 20 times. That being said on character alone I wouldn't pick him as my favorite player. But I still want him around to knock the snot out of some quarterbacks, like he did to Troy Aikman!

I can't believe that about 90% of you thought hkhog was serious. I got the tone of his post IMMEDIATELY! He(she?) was just trying to illustrate how blind people are being when it comes to S.Taylor. Go back an re-read the first post and try to assimilate it to Taylor's situation. hkhog has no desire to trade LaVar. He just wants you all to see how unfairly most of you are treating Taylor. Give the kid(Taylor) a break and let's just see if he lands on his own two feet when all is said and done.
Just look at the first page of Hog Wash and see how many negative threads there are regarding Taylor.

You'll always be remembered Sean. R.I.P.

Lavar is Redskins Nation all the way!
I try to take it easy on fellow skins fans here, but I think this should have been brought up in the talking smack forum, because you are opening up a can of worms even considering such a notion. Lavar won't be traded, he is too important of a player not just for this team and its fans, but for the NFL, and we plan on keeping him right here, so get used to it.
I can't believe I read a post of this nature......WOW!

I have travelled the net and found the Redskins promise land. This is, by far, the best site out there for Redskins/NFL News, Notes, Opinions, and so much more.

Calm down, sttb. He was making a point on the Taylor issue. Read the previous posts. No one wants us to trade LaVar, except maybe Gambit.

Hail to the Redskins!
I, for one, don't buy that the little "trade LaVar" scenario was a good analogy to make a point about Taylor. In fact, I think it's a pretty ridiculous analogy. For one, LaVar has already proven himself to be a pro bowl caliber player. Taylor hasn't even played one down in the NFL yet. LaVar was EXTENDING an existing contract, not signing his initial contract. LaVar has already established himself in both the football realm as well as the local community. Taylor hasn't establihed any ties to the community yet. LaVar, in spite of his contract disputes, has gone on record saying that he wants to finish his career as a Redskins, and has in effect said whatever happens with the 6.5million won't affect him at all.
To say that wanting to trade Sean Taylor is akin to wanting to trade LaVar Arrington is ludicrous. Joe Gibbs wants "Redskin people" on his team. Arrington has already proven that he is a prototype "Redskins player". Taylor hasn't. If and when Taylor establishes himself as a Redskin, then and only then, will trading him be likened to trading LaVar Arrington.
I say to Sean Taylor, get some experience under your belt and then show everyone what you're made of. Until then, let your on the field performance do your talking instead of your off the field problems.

Sit back and watch the Redskins.

True, but Taylor has not said anyhting negative and the idea that he is unhappy with his contract is all SPECULATION because he fired his agents. Give him the chance to establish himself. The only real difference is that he is a rookie and Lavar is not.
