Question?

Why can't we win the division if we win today and cowboys and giants lose?

Sons of Washington!
My Brothers!
I see in your eyes the fear that would take the heart of me!
A day may come when the courage of the Redskins fails, when we forsake our teammates and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of Eagles and shattered helmets when the Age of the Redskins comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Sons of Washington!!!!!

Let's assume that happens:
We'd be 9-6 (3-2).
They'd be 8-7 (3-2).

Now, if they beat us next week, we'd both be 9-7, and be 1-1 head-to-head, but they'd have the next tiebreaker (4-2 vs. 3-3).

You're wrong. If the Redskins win today they will be 4-1 in the division.
They beat the Giants, Eagles, and Cowboys. Lost to the Giants.

What's the next tiebreaker after division record?

 You're right. It's common games. Now, if they lose this week and beat us next week, we both beat the Eagles twice, split with each other and the Giants, so:
WAS DAL
BAL W L
CIN L W
CLE W W
PIT L W
ATL L L
CAR L W
NO W L
TB W W

They'd be 5-3; we'd be 4-4.

So either way you look at it the Redskins need to win both games.

How does the wild card look?

We can clinch if we win, HOU beats MIN, BAL beats NYG, and ARI beats CHI.

The first two are good possibilities. What about Ari beating Chi? I haven't really heard much about the bears or cardinals this year.

Who the hell knows with those 2? I picked CHI, but flip a coin. Just hoping for a big game from Marshall.

Been a while since the game right before Christmas meant anything for us Skins fans. I am pumped! I hope we do not stub our toe today, Philthy is still a dangerous team and can beat us if we do not play well.

Go Skins! Go New Orleans and Baltimore! Arizona and Houston!

Preseason I had such reasonable expectations. I was skeptical of the The Big Trade but living in Austin, TX, I heard a lot about RG3 and was upbeat about The Future. Of course, Morris (and Cousins) weren't even on the radar. ...

Now, I'm a wreck! I have playoff hopes for crying out loud. I'm trash talking the locals, people! What the heck is going on here?!?!

Hail! Beat some Iggle butt!

You left out 4 division games which count as common opponents but the pies still have the edge.

If gmen lose, next week's game is for the division regardless of what we or the pies do today. I am a Raven fan today.

I'm pumped up today.. let's get a win and let everything else fall in to place. I think any of the other games can go either way... I'm more worried about next week. A game that big vs the enemy.... We let them climb back in a game we kicked the ish out of em.
I know we need to focus on this week, but I'm already praying for a murdering next week (figuratively).. a sit rgiii in the fourth massacre of the pukes. Our whole season comes down to Dallas week. Pukes at home Rgiii a chance to sweep the pies his first season and propell us into a sb chase. Wow. Doesn't get any better then this folks!
-being a skins fan is a rollercoaster no doubt, but I still can't control how nervous these two games make me.

This is going to be a very dangerous game, i believe the last home game for Philly and Reids' last home game. That is a very dangerous combination. Philly has had a miserable season, thier fans in a hateful mood and for them them to take it out on the Skins would be toothsweet. We have got to score early and doubledown on them, we cannot give them any oppertunities or they'll hurt us.
