Rooting for the Fleur-de-lis next week

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

We don't care either way about that Dallas game. The other game we care about is NYG at BAL.

Not true. It would be nice to be able to rest some guys the final weekend, and Dallas and NYG losing combined with us beating Philly would get us that.

I don't know about resting guys, but it would be nice to know that we made the playoffs before week 17.

Personally, I don't believe BAL will beat NYG, but it would be nice nonetheless.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

Not quite. True about NYG, but assume we win and DAL loses. Standings going into Week 17:
WAS=9-6 (4-1)
DAL=8-7 (3-2)

Hmm, maybe. If Dallas then beat us it'd move to common games, and I have NO idea how it is there.

You're right. I just checked, and either way we need to beat the Pies week 17.

Yeah. Hell, we can even have us lose and the Pukes win, and still win the East as long as NY loses 1.

That's incorrect...

We need to beat Philthy then move to the next week.

If ttiT loses to the Saints and the Redskins beat the Eagles, the W-L records would be:

Skins: 9-6, 4-1 in Conference TtiT: 8-7, 3-2 in Conference.
Then we lose in week 17, now both teams are 9-7 and both are 4-2 in the division.

Here are the tie-breakers that matter...

Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.

The next tie breaker would be common opponents and we are 2 games behind ttiT.

We need to win this week and look at next week, NEXT week

Still win the East by winning Week 17.
We lose and DAL wins this week:
We'd be 8-7, they'd be 9-6.
Then we win in week 17: Both 9-7, but we'd have H2H.

Go Cowboys :puke:
I Hognosticated them, and I'd LOVE for NYG to be out of the division race even before they play :twisted:
