What would the Pats be without Brady? What would the Broncos be without Manning? What would the Giants be without the other Manning? What would the Packers be without Rodgers? It's much more interesting for the reader if you have a point....

What would the Browns be without Weeden?

The Browns. #-o

No difference.

I'm having trouble understanding where the perception of the Browns as having a stout defense is coming from. They are 23rd in yards allowed, giving up only 25 fewer yards per game than our mostly awful defense.

I also have trouble taking their "hot streak" to mean anything, seeing as they beat the Steelers sans Cheeselessburger (and they didn't even play well with him back last week), and then literally the two worst teams in the league back to back (Raiders and Chiefs).

Am i missing something? :hmm:

it's like this dcd - we're dealing with a poor Browns fan and he's all puffed up about his team and ...

well .. we're trying to play nice, you see ..... and he's getting all pissed off because I think he sees the writing on the wall

no worries
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Just saw a report on NFL Network that RG III is out v. the Browns. Cousins will get the start. It is what it is. I have faith that the team can win this one with Cousins behind center. HTTR. We will win.

Nice. 11 carries for 28 yards. S-T-U-D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Morris didn't even have a good game with 87 yards, but still made TRich his little you-know-what. Morris is CLEARLY the superior RB.

THat said, I see what you were saying about the predictability of your run plays, but he is still an avg (at best) RB, no question. Morris is a top 5 RB. Your D LOADED your DL and Morris still was 13 yards short of 100.

TRich........... not so much.

Trust me ---- I am (and was) 100% correct on this one.

I understand, but don't be bitter that we got superior talent with our 4th and 6th round picks over your 2 first rounders......

You will be mediocre to good moving forward but don't falsely make yourself believe that wins against HORRIBLE opponents makes you better than you really are. You are a 5-9 team and that is where you should be. You are young and will improve, but don't think you are currently a good or even a mediocre team right now.

No way that Browns fan shows his virtual face around here again. Good grief, our backup 4th round QB was 100x better than Weeden.

HTTR Haha :) I agree except I will have to say that their running back is a beast. He pushed piles. I liked him in the draft and if we couldn't get RG3 I would have been happy with him. He is just hurt. Not trying to make excuses but he is all that. Knowing what I do now though I wouldn't ever give up on Morris. He is a beast in his own right. They have some pieces. They will do ok with that young team but they don't have the coaches we do. I knew that would be a difference but was a little worried about Kirk. I still thought that Morris would be someone though. You can't help but notice if you look at his running style in school.

To be fair; he's in the middle of a two week ban, so even if he wanted to come back and eat crow (which we know he wouldn't) be couldn't.

The sad thing that I want to mention: Cousins "may not" be here next year and WE MAY be playing against him with his NEW TEAM....!!!

Come what may........I wish Cousins the best (either here or elsewhere). But I'm SURE he wants to be a starting QB in the NFL.

The beauty of the new rookie contracts is that he might be here for a couple years, or we might get a decent draft pick for him.

With enough teams out there desperate for a QB, would we turn down a first rounder for him? Bruce could do a lot with a first round pick including turning into more picks.

Knowing what he can do in relief of RGIII, keeping him is also a great option and he doesn't sound like there'd be sour grapes when RGIII returns. From the quotes I read, he sounds happy where he's at.

 I think we all saw that it's not all about the QB

IMO - Cousins knows and appreciates his position here very well - he stays and we have a good #2 QB who is happy to be here

he goes and we get some players we can use

I think we all saw this kid can play QB in the NFL

despite what some here think - Cousins can help a team win some games

You actually missed his in-depth analysis:

DOGSRBACK wrote:1. You do not have a better RB

 Too bad higher draft picks don't always equal a better player. I'd take Morris every time. So far he has yet to lay a 28-yard turd in a game.

2. You do have a better QB

We have two better QBs. I wonder if the Browns fans realize yet that they could have grabbed Cousins/Morris in the 3rd and 4th rounds, respectively, and used their high-powered picks on other areas of need.

3. You do have better core of WRs, but Gordon is better than all of them

I'm counting six Redskins receivers with more yards and four with more receptions. Not only is our core better than Cleveland's, but any given member of that core is better than Cleveland's alleged best.

4. We have better o-line and D-line

We didn't generate a ton of pressure (though still the same number of sacks as CLE). Then again the Browns had no rushing game to speak of. Do we blame that entirely on the RB, or does the o-line take some of the heat?

Anyway, while it wasn't the Skins' greatest day on the o-line, we clearly outperformed Cleveland here, too.

Again you get respect when you win, the Browns are starting to earn respect around the league. Without RG3 your team is ...you just have to look over the past 10 years to prove that.

I wonder if we have that respect now . . .

At Cleveland Good Luck with that.....

By the 4th quarter it was as quiet as a practice field from what I could tell watching on TV. Thanks for taking it easy on us this time.
