Trade Sean Taylor to Miami
The next step for him which is possible is to hold out and say he wants to renegotiate the contract he just signed (I put nothing past this guy who, I'm telling you, has NO interest in being a great football player)...so now's the last chance to get rid of him before he causes a REAL train wreck at the end of the year in a year down the road, etc.
Now's a time to send the boy home to Miami (maybe with a 5th round pick in 2005) and try to get Ogunleye in return.
They made a big mistake with this boy.

BAD KARMA
1. Fires his agent after the draft
2. Takes a shaving cream pie to the face is blinded cannot practice.
3. Misses several team functions
4. Leaves the mandatory Rookie seminar , to come back to
washington , because he was being evicted from his apartment in Miami.
5. Hires an agent at the last minute, but supposedly him and agent have been talking and communicating all the time.
6. Comes QB camp and sprains his knee, MRI's negative, so he does not work out the first couple of days of practice.
7. Fires his agent because he feels his deal is too light.
This boy has some issues with him. With his familiarity of his teammates and the D.C. Metro area he will become more relaxed and little problems like this will become more frequent.

I think we should give Taylor just another chance. It would be great if JGibbs would go to this guy and tell him directly to get rid of all this
and get ready to play football. If he has any problems with that, then chalktalk's idea is reasonable. Each of Taylor's moves so far are giving headaches to fans, which should not be tolerated. BUT, since this guy is new to the league, I think it would be GREAT if JGibbs could go to him and find out exactly what he thinks he's doing. Then we could decide what to do with this guy.

ChalkTalk will you just shutup! your trade Sean Taylor to Miami is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Sean Taylor will be just fine he has having a little agent trouble so what! He practiced today and watch he is going to be a special player! He is rehiring Drew Rosenhaus to represent him again so he has resolved this issue quickly! At least we dont have a RB that quit on his team, coaches and fans! HAAHAHAHAHA The Dolphins are not going to anywhere without Ricky Williams!

hey- I know I started the other article by saying that Im worried about where this is going. I dont think it necessarily has to go there though. ST could easily get his act together and be a great football player, its too early to judge him before he even plays his first preseason game. Im just a little bit worried, and im going to be watching him damn closely- and you can be sure that Gibbs and co. will too. Im hoping that they get him settled down because he could really be a monster addition to our team if he gets his head straight

Washington Redskins fans know and understand football. They want good football. Expectations here are very, very high. That's good.

He's having a LOT more than that. He was having trouble making Joe Gibbs meetings. He was having trouble staying at the mandatory rookie meeting, he is having trouble with the media, he's had trouble with EVERYTHING.
You, as dumb as it is, are playing the role of possum. You've got your eyes closed, your hands over yours ears, going "la la la la la, I cant hear or see any problems as long as I pretend they dont exist"

I don't think you understand, this has nothing to do with football. Ryan Leaf had all the talent in the world, too. Once people started seeing his intense problems off the field, whatever he could or couldnt do ON the field was pointless.
Same with Taylor. At this point now, its simply ridiculous. I dont care to need to see him play. His problems he will cause the Redskins have nothing to do with on the field. That's why they ought to look at getting rid of him before its too late.
Better to be safe then to be sorry. The Redskins are a bad football team. They've been bad for a long time. They DESPERATLEY need help from the 5th pick in the draft. To have him actually HURT the team would be damning to the franchise at this point in time.

Another issue to consider is that now he is very visable in the Media. He is on the Washington Redskins with high profile Danny boy as the owner, the owner that brought back JOE GIBBS...The winningest coach in Redskin History. All it takes is for him to continue on this path, then make a couple rookie mistakes and bad plays, it gets blown up in the medie and his problems resurface when reporters start hounding him.

It's certainly a big hole he's dug for himself. It's got to be hard enough being a first round pick, now he's the first round pick that can't do anything right, at least in the eyes of some of the media and fans.
I got your number. I steal your thunder. I got your mother's maiden name tattooed on my arm.
Taylor and a 5th round pick for O-Gun ?
Are you ribbing me ? No way ! You could get mad money from Miami. Imagine how many more tickets they'd sell if Taylor was back in Hurricane Country ! They should give US a top pick and O-Gun, along with maybe a nice wine and cheese basket.
This is crazy. The man is under contract. If Joe could handle Manley, Joe can handle this kid.
Sit tight and see what happens.

Most of these are correct, but I think 3 is totally false, and 6 is not right either. He only missed one day, with the sprained knee, and he was at the practice, so he only really missed out on the hitting. He is under contract people. Unless he decides to hold out now, I don't see what all the fuss is about.

We can debate details all day, but #3 is simply what I got from articles and #6 did happen in some capacity. You need to read GIBBSKIN wrote

The only Gibbsskin I care about is Joe Gibbs. So what if he has hired a new agent? He continues to practice doesn't he? Call me if he holds out now, but otherwise, give it a rest!

I think everyone should relax, Sean Taylor is a great player, and Gibbs really likes him. He has made some rookie mistakes, and from the way I see it, it just seems like he simply doesn't care about anyhting else but playing football. Even so, she should have been at those meeting and they are simply mistakes, and arent really anyhitng to go nuts over. Lets not foget who had a similar attitude; John Riggins just didn't play for a year when he didn't like his contract, and he and authority never got along. Its not like he ever got anywhere. (sarcasim). Im not saying ST is a John Riggins, or that their attitudes are the same, or that what ST has been doing is at all justified. But a trade to Miami is perhaps the very worst solution to the "problem;" if you want to call it that.
So everyone, just calm down, Joe Gibbs is back. Remember? If anyone can fix this it is Gibbs, and he will, and everything will be just fine.

Wow, you guys are overreacting! I'm sure we all did some stupid stuff when we entered a new situation. If you make a few mistakes they can lead to others and you can get really down. Let's give him a second chance, a fresh start.
C'mon, he's a 20 (?) year old kid! He hasn't had representation to help him and there have been a string of little problems along the way. He clearly feels a bit embarassed and does not want to talk to the media who have been pretty harsh so far. Nothing he has This kid needs to get some support and once he starts playing football and can focus on that I think he'll be OK. He didn't hold out and hasn't done anything really bad yet. He just seems confused.
Don't jump all over him, give him a chance to prove himself. Once he really starts behaving badly then chastise him. You are all freaking out about what he may do in the future. Let's just wait and see what really happens.
I was worried but I am going to give him full support. He needs it, and he really has just been acting a little strange not badly. I think until that day we should all support him and hope that he can get past these REALLY MINOR incidents.

Breaking news......
An anonymous source close to the Taylor camp is claiming that Rosenhaus will NOT be hired.
Instead, all matters related to Mr. Taylor will be handled by super-agent.....

Bob Sugar.
Mr. Sugar is currently working on a new shoe deal for Taylor, as well as negotiating a possible trade to Miami, a trade he calls "the best idea I could come up with -- not realistic, but good enough for my client."
