Secondary

Post by MEZZSKIN »

Guys please help me...im dying for Redskin camp updates, im sitting in my office in NY(with NYC cops with M-16's outside my building) losing my mind.....One signing im very confused about is WALT HARRIS.Why did we sign this broken down valese...WHAT IS HIS STORY...DIDNT WE KNOW THIS GUY WAS INJURED.. HE HASNT PLAYED AT ALL(AT ANY CAMP)!.....Anyway, how does Shawn Springs look out there? Does Bowen look comfortable at his new position. We all know that Jimoh is waste of time space and money(hes roster filler for now)....But has either Rashard Bauman and Ralph Brown looked impressive yet.Im very nervous about our secondary ...I know we will get constant updates on S. TAYLOR ALL CAMP...all i ask is you guys keep me abreast on the meat and potoatoes of this secondary..(BOWEN, BAUMAN, HARRIS, BROWN ETC)....THANKS GUYS AND HAVE FUN...IM VERY JEALOUS

Unfortunately, we get limited exposure to the defense during camp. Towards the end they do passing drills and you get to see a little bit. It's pretty even, as far as the defense beating the offense and vice versa.

See Portis/Bailey trade for the anwser to you question.

I forget a little bit of Bailey everytime Portis touches the ball!

Walt Harris was put on the physically unable to perform list (I think that's what it's called).

If I am not mistaken, he was put on the PUP list, when we signed these last three guys. It was in Jake's story yesterday on the main page. I don't think we expect anything from him these days

Yes hes on the pup list. Pretty expensive pup player...What were they thinking?...I think we can all agree that signing has to be the biggest head scracther of the 2004 season....I mean we signed him hurt....HE DIDNT GET HURT....HE WAS HURT.....Oh well, time to move on i guess. Lets hope Bauman continues to progress....I like him....Hes a battler ..Ralph Brown i have ZERO confidence in..WHY you ask.....i live in NY and belive me...He was involved in almost every big play against the Giants had in the last 2 years......Take out that 2002 semi fianl game vs San Fran.....Its all him...When we signed him i almost repeated whatever i ate that day......My hopes clearly lie with Bauman......

Walt Harris was good last season with Indy. Him and Nick Harper did a pretty good job but not great (they got burned by KC). Harris is a smart vet who will likely be the #5 or #6 DB behind Ralph Brown and Bauman. Mostly there to support veteran leadership. He doesn't cost much.

The DB practices are done in the far corner of the 4 football fields...opposite corner of where fans have access...good binoculars are needed. The defense is top secret in 2004.

You're joking, right? 24 was Champ Bailey.
