Hognostications 2012

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Well, you do have the most wrong picks in the history of Hognostications...

you think that's a bad mistake ...

I took the eagles and the jets ..

what was I thinking?
Eagles at home, undefeated after a bye...I was a little worried about this one.

Surprised so many took the Falcons in this one.

All-in-all I'm glad we went online but a few thoughts for next year.

1 No big deal but switch to Yahoo!

2 If a guy does not submit picks give him the worst score of the week minus 1. So if a guy forgets or can't get online and the worst score was me going 5-11 that guy would be assigned 4-12. That way a guy doesn't quit after missing a week. Somehting like this should be an option.

3 Change the end-of-year tiebreak. The current one weighs late weeks over early weeks which is not neutral and actually kinda backwards since some teams sit a lot of people in the late weeks.

Thanks for running things.

Me too. This was another game I wanted to change all week, but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. I can't believe Seattle gave their game up. This is the week of the visiting team.

Same mistake here. But it is not an unreasonable mistake. Jets had played strong games over the last two weeks.

Sanchez and Ryan have reached the limit of patience with Jets fans.

very difficult to predict the outcomes when the team that shows up does not play or execute anywhere close to what they've been doing
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I bet Norv Turner is not the HC of the Chargers next season.

I do not know if you guys saw a terrible dropped pass which could have given them a chance to win against the Browns but plays like those and putting the whole team in that mess is not going to cut it with the owner.

Me thinks the FO of the Chargers goes as well (deservedly so).

I thought they were done already.

All you need to be done in this competition is NOT to pick a single week.

Yes.

What about that suggestion for next year about giving a guy who misses a week the worst score of the week minus 1. Any thoughts?

Looks like Justice will win :(
Good week this was. Just missed us, TB over OAK, and PIT over NYG (can't say that last one upsets me  ).

Too early to predict a winner here. It always has come to the last week before. It only takes a bad week to change everything.

Pitt always hurts me.

I was happy to miss on the Pitt game, but the Indy/Fish matchup...

Took Indy at home; this was only confirmed when it was mentioned Pagano was there.

I did not think that Tannehill was going to perform as well as he had in the past and ... he didn't. I never changed my mind on that one (or any other one).

Didn't change my mind on any this week. The Fish just let me down. But I am surprised so many picked NO over the Smeagols.

Interesting side note: the tie-breaker goes off total points, and doesn't matter who you picked to win, even though it ask for each team's score.

I'm pissed because I changed my MNF pick from the Saints to the Eagles at the last second. Argh!!!

I changed a couple of picks that turned out wrong too ... but I'm not pissed about it - I thought they'd win

Picked NYG; glad they're down 14-0 :D

I thought about picking CIN and NO as upsets, but just couldn't take the risk.
