Morris last Sunday rushed for 120 yards on 22 carries in Washington’s 27-24 loss to the New York Giants. Morris beat out Indianapolis’ Andrew Luck, New England linebacker Dont’a Hightower, Tampa Bay running back Doug Martin and Minnesota safety Harrison Smith for the award. A Redskins player has now been named rookie of the week in four of the seven weeks of the NFL season. Quarterback Robert Griffin III has won it three times.
Ok RED this is for you... I had a strange feeling about this guy and so did Red. He tried to humor me by giving me anything I could read on him during camp. I just liked his style and figured he would be durable.

Thanks Kilmer. What really sold me on Morris was the comments by his college coach Howard Schnellenberger. He compared Morris to Larry Csonka. IMO, Schnellenberger is one of the old time gurus of football. The way Morris runs over and carries people, Schnellenberger was right.
You might remember this video that I posted after the draft.

Awe man, how much would we love to have Rogers back? I think most of us never wanted him to go, but he didn't want to be here anymore. At least he could cover and hang like some of us said.
We are double blessed with this awesome competitor helping 'Sir' RGIII carry the load. He does kinda remind me of Czonka. He can hit the hole and the (would-be) tackler hard.
Everybody funny, now you funny too ...
