Kirk will come on in next season and play 2 games for an injured RG3 and will light it up and we will trade him to a QB needy team for a #1 and a DB
Kirk cousins offers more value IMO than Kolb

It would be nice to keep him but we have to add some more pieces

Cousins could very well be starting somewhere next year

another really great pick up from the draft by this FO
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

A CB is a DB.
But a #2 isn't a #1...

I'd take the #1 and a DB over a #2 and a CB any day, but even Andy Reed couldn't pull that off :D

I think we're going to get a lot of value out of Cousins. Four years from now we are going to be very happy they used that pick for value rather than selecting a no-name CB or safety who might not even make the team in a year or two.

You mean via trade, right? Would you get a FA vet as a backup to RGIII?

Eventually in a trade, yes, and until then as a solid backup who gives us a good chance of winning whenever we need him. I think we'll eventually trade him simply because he'll prove himsefl a capable starter, and players like that don't just stay on the bench.

I don't disagree, but would you fill the backup spot with a vet, or draft another rookie to groom?

I never said I'd turn down either.... they can keep the DB, CB or otherwise if the Skins could get a #1 or #2

Not a good outing, that is for sure.

Missed his chance to become a hero.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

On the plus side, he got us our only offensive TD.

I think he'll be sharp after a week's worth of prep with the first team.

Yea, I think he will be ok with a week of practice under his belt. He is not RGIII....but he is a far better option than Grossman.

Grossman will be active for the first time this season, those that know me know where I've been and what I've done. They will be shocked to read this, but... this scares me.

Hopefully it means he's active as the backup. Not surprising at all to see RG3 held out this week.

I'm morbidly interested in seeing Cousins start after a week of practice and game planning with the first team.

... ok ... I'll bite ...

Who are you?
Where have you been?
and What have you done?

I'm apprehensive that Rex may be active against the Vikings - I don't see the Skins having 3 QBs active. I don't think that Kirk was worse than Rex would have been. I can forgive (to an extent) Kirk's ints - after all he is a rookie in his first NFL regular season action - he'll learn from that. Plus, Kirk needs the experience. With more 1st team reps to work out timing, he'll do much better.

Rex knows better than to throw ints - but he still does it fairly regularly. The only area that Rex has an advantage is being used to seeing the different D looks tat will be thrown at the Skins. Once again, Kirk needs the experience.

Hopefully all this will be moot and RGIII will be able to safely play - after learning an important lesson.
