My music
I figured a little bit of shameless self-promotion is overdue, so to anyone who might be curious to check out the album i released last year, i'd appreciate you doing so and passing on the word if you like what you hear!
You can listen to it here: http://www.facebook.com/philosophonic.m ... 4879526524
Thanks!

Nice work doode..
I agree with LPJ, ignition is dope...
One thing I felt was missing in that song in particular tho, is (in the voice of my producer) "i want you to hit that beat harder" on the chorus come in with more "conviction".
This is just my thought tho g, don't take it personal. I think it'd be the shiz if you came in more profound like at 1:52 of "Sounding Out".
Now I'm not saying that needs to be the case for every song.. like in "Not at all", a very good jam put together perfect imo, the mellow chorus is perfect.- maybe not the best
Example tho cuz after the humming/melody you take it up a notch.
Only negative I can say is I wanted "Pills" and "Singularity" to be longer!
Being slightly "in the biz" its a reaction for me to analyze, and I say all that with thumbs up, and just as something to consider. I know your album is "done" and I'm just giving you my honest opinion to do with what you like.
The peaks and valleys are good throughout the record, man great job. The sound quality is legit too, and well mixed. The lyrics are deep, and I can tell a lot of time and effort went into the whole album. Good isht man

I found your album on iTunes. Doesn't really sound like my kind of music, but I could easily see this being played in coffee shops and bookstores.
I only listened to the previews, so I can't say too much about it, but the sound is definitely seemed chill. The kind of music you might just have on while your sitting at home unwinding from work.
If that's what you were shooting for, I'd say you nailed it.
In the words of Mr. Burns, "I may not know art, but I know what I hate; and I don't hate this".

many thanks for listening and the feedback, everyone! it is truly appreciated.
it was definitely a lot of work; this was an entirely home-produced effort so i had to play the role of songwriter, arranger, and performer on every track (except the female background vocals on alleluia, of course!). so it means a lot to hear that it is sounding good.
i have not been able to do any performing because i am still working my way back from some health problems that best me a few years ago and there seems to be a lingering repetitive motion strain compounded by fibromyalgia-- bottom line being i can not hold the chords in my left hand all the way through some of the songs (i had to splice multiple takes together for the album). fortunately things are looking up and if i can get over my nerves, i should be out there playing pretty soon!!
thanks again!!
