Is Sean Taylor fragile?

Post by chalktalk »

Just curious.

The guy has been at Redskins Park for about a total of 10 minutes and he's been hurt twice already.

Once, he took a shaving cream pie to the face, something the 3 Stooges endured years of, and it knocked him out of practise

Then, he tries to catch a pass near a sideline and twists his knee..

Are you kidding me?

What's going to happen when he needs to tackle Jeremy Shockey? I can assure you one thing, it wont be the same as building a name for yourself by playing Rutgers.

Wonder if he makes into the season without missing games.

Personally, I'm not clairvoyant and can't tell you what the future holds for Taylor's injury prospectus...

... but I can tell you that injuries haven't been a problem for him in football since he was a junior in high school.

Don't mean squat when you get to the big time, but the media's spin on something doesn't neccessarily either.

My 2 cents
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

fragile? i don't know.
under the microscope right now? yes. but so is the fact that any first round pick farted wrong in camp. they gotta have something to write about. at least he got tweaked trying to make a play. could have been worse.

Any type of injury involving the knee always scares me little.

See, if he would have held out like he was supposed to he'd be just fine right now. :)

It's the first day, he hasn't played in a few months. He probably want's to prove himself so quick.....that he over did it a little bit. I wouldn't call him "fragile" yet

Fragile? I think it's a little early to tell if a guy is "fragile" (if you can ever tell!). He's played ONE DAY. I think the question is ridiculous.

Are YOU kidding US?

I totally agree with you, ANT. We need to bring him into the fold slowly...

that pretty much prompted the question. he's been at redskins park for all a couple of seconds total, both times in his street clothes, and he's gotten hurt TWICE and had to miss time because of both "injuries".

what happens when he puts on pads? There's no Rutgers on the schedule this year.

P.S. I said the VERY SAME thing about Taylor Jacbos when he *eventually* ended his holdout with the redskins. a couple of weeks later, he was got hurt and was out for most of the season and contributed nothing.

I haven't tried it but I imagine if I stuffed shaving cream in my eyes I might not be able to see for awhile either. I wouldn't classify that as an injury.

Injuries in pro football are probably 95% chance. Things happen. Stephen Davis misses time every year because he gets hurt - is he fragile? Injury prone? Perhaps. Can anything be done about it? No. Taylor twisted his knee because he twisted his knee. It could happen to anyone. Guys get hurt all the time. Don't worry about him.

Nope.

Do some research, dude. He was never injured at Miami.

This is football. Injuries happen, get used to it. I promise he'll be injured again. Would you like to cut him from the team when that happens?!?

Christ... the double-standard some people here use against Taylor is unbelievable.

nah. he's just not buying into the hype. niether am i just yet. i think good things can happen here. but not just at the wave of a magic wand. we have some glaring weaknesses that skins fans just seems to want to overlook. i hope like hell we end up in the superbowl, but, if we don't even make the playoffs, i won't be suprised. i hope for 8-8. anything else and i'll have seconds of crow.
