Even after the penalty, I was telling folks at the bar that this would be the first chapter in the RGIII amazing comeback plays history. Then Shanny opted for the 62 yard FG try which had zero chance of succeeding. :hmm:

Everyone keeps nagging on the Shanny for going for a make or break fg.. and ya not worry about injury what ever. Maybe he wanted get his players off the field already after that these refs were gonna let the other team get away with anything. I was disgusted way before Finnegan a ball lightly tossed at him.. I wish Morgan would have Andre Johnsoned that sob.
I'm over it.

He was risking a block and injuries to Billy Cundiff and Sav.

This is my main takeaway from this game. RGIII has taken some big shots these first two weeks, and that's against the Rams and Saints. We play the Steelers and Ravens, and if he does the types of things he's done so far against teams like that he's not going to last the season.

Agree, but he also took some serious shots due to the OL. It appeared that they were together in the win agianst NOLA, but it seems as if that was more a result of a bad NOLA DL and not really strong play on our end.

RGIII, regardless of whether he runs or not, is going to take some serious hits this season due to a poor OL. MS and KS just need to plan accordingly and with quick timing routes and get the ball out of RGIII's hands as quickly a sthey can.

RGIII has an incredible ability to avoid pass-rushers (as we saw against STL), but we need to protect him more efficiently.
RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

Has anyone watched or read anything the Morgan has said about what happend against the rams and about his disipline from the league and what not??

I have to say he has seemed to step up and take responsibility for his actions and I am excited to see what he has in store for the rest of the season

Give credit were cresdit is due. Chris Long and Robert Quinn are two very good defensive ends for the Rams, when it comes to the pass rush. Few teams have this type of dual threat from the end positions. Heck, Matt Stafford threw three INTs against the pressure of these guys.

The league punished him?? I hope the guy that did a cannon ball on to Fletcher and the guys stomping on downed O players face some consequences too!

As for the Rams players, I 100% agree with your statement!

He got fined for throwing the ball at another player? How ridiculous is that?

Very.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

If Morgan really got fined, then over 1/2 the STL defensive players (and that TE, #82, no idea what his name is) should receive fines for their play.

That was one of the dirties games I have ever seen -- in terms of pure cheap shots. While I feel players should do what the refs allow them to get away with, I agree with RGIII when he said it was unprofessional.

RG3 is more at risk in the pocket than he is running the ball. More likely to get his knees buckeled and tear that ACL.
