You pick the winner of one game each week - no point spreads involved. Your pick must win or you are done. You may only use a team once. Thus, if you pick the Saints and they win - you survive. However, you can never pick the Saints again.
We currently have 6 registered players and 3 of them have posted their Week 1 pick. I'm NOT going to check here then do it for you.
Please make sure you enter your pick at cbs.

BTW:
All Games will lock five minutes before the start of the week's first game. If a member does not make their selection prior to this deadline, that user will receive an incorrect pick for the week and be eliminated.
Please Note - All selections by pool members will be displayed in the view all picks area once this lock occurs.
Also, the rule that you can only use a team once is standard but I don't see it on the site.
Nevertheless, you can't use a team more than once and I will enforce it.

Well, I'm out. I went back and forth all week between our game and the Patsies over the Cards. I kind of had this feeling we would lose. Glad I would have lost either way, having finally settled on the Skins. I see that everyone else who lost out also went on one of these two games. Only two people left.

Half my survivor pool picked the Pats. I picked SF. It was sweet. Even though my daughter, who grew up in Connecticut, is still pissed at me. She's Skins #1 but Pats #2.

Who to pick this week?
The rules of my pool are you can only pick a team once, and you can only pick against a team twice. One team a week until something like week 13, then you have to pick two teams. You aren't knocked out until your second loss, which I think is a great rule.
So given that, I actually try to pick as many early games as I can against good teams so I save the bad teams to pick against later. I didn't rate Arizona as good enough to pick against now or bad enough to save for later. I did think Detroit is good enough to not want to save, but I thought they would lose in SF.
Ironically I think the people as you alluded to who picked the Pats were blowing their wad. And it backfired when they lost, double whammy. But I'm going for winning the pool, not just surviving as long as I can then having no one to pick.

Which is why I finally settled on the Skins. I was saving the Pats.
I have three rules which I don't break until it becomes absolutely necessary late in the season.
Never pick a divisional game
Never pick an away team.
Never pick against the Redskins. Actually this one I don't break in any of my pools no matter when it is. It's just not fun to me to pick against the Skins, so I don't do it.
I've been in my survivor pool until late every season I played, those rules have done me well

I'd like to but that first winner should probably be crowned as Survivor Champ 2012.
Is it just me and acw left? There's a lot of names that "didn't pick" punu, kaz, etc.. are they in?
We're using a site that doesn't allow picking after they play the first game, which was on Wednesday. Normally survivor pools let you pick up until the Sunday games start, they just don't let you pick the games before that once they've started.
