Post Game Redskins vs Rams
We have seen this script before, but we still have an upside.
Haz has got to change his game plan.
Haz has got to change his game plan.
Since we are likely stuck with Haz for the whole season. I do think he will at the least make adjustments.
However I am still encouraged with RG3 at the helm. Morgan what a bonehead play! Refs stunk the whole game. Dirty defensive game as well.
Like I said time to move on. On to next week already.

I wanna say I'm disappointed, but I'm not. Sadly, I've come to expect these typical unprofessional, embarrasing performances that we've been watching for years...this team never gets any better, no matter how many personnel changes it goes through...its just a perpetual nightmare...and to add to it, the absolute worst officiated and announced games made this one of the worst games I've ever seen....when do we get the replacement announcers?

Poor officiating all game.
I wonder how friendly Shanahan and Fisher are now that the Rams played one of the dirtiest games I've seen in a long time?
Was Haz calling bad plays or is the secondary that awful?
Cortland Finnegan can go eat a cart full of weiners. That guy is a complete tool.

There's no doubt in anybody's mind that our defense and special teams gave us the epic fail in this game. In my opinion, Haslett should be packing his bags and leaving after this season is over. Introducing a 3-4 defense in the first place, when we clearly don't have the secondary to sustain it, is mind-boggleing. This defense always gives up an incredible amount of yards in the air. HASLETT GIVE YOUR F***ING HEAD A SHAKE!!

I agree with everything you mentioned above
On to the bengals.

Not to pile on Morgan, but he also needs to know where that first down is. He ran backward to try to get it. He just should have took what he got and turned up field.
It did look like RGIII's throw was a little off and that lead him that way. It looked like Morgan was wide open and if he was hit in the numbers could have turned easily for the 1st down.
Check me on this when y'all see the game again. RGIIIs first two throws showed his nerves. At the feet on the first. High on the second.
Not criticism, but just an obervation. In the short run, I hate the loss, but in the long run, this was good for RGIII to get into the 2:00 minute drill early to get the nerves out.
Like I said, check me on my observations.

Haz play calling hands down. That was asking a lot of any secondary.
Bradford was hitting the seems and underneath with pinpoint accuracy and his quick release. Normal QBs don't have that type of accuracy and release so that scheme can work against most QBs. It is called adjustment. Haz failed to do it even though Bradford burned us two years ago the same way. Haz never learns - this wasn't a personnel loss.

The good and the bad, all there in one game.
We have a very good QB, and a surprising rookie runner ... and much to look forward to on offense for the first time in a long time.
Bad news ... there is no rhyme or reason for how the defense is being prepared and called during the game .. and no adjustment when being gashed and mauled ... totally unacceptable.
Aside from RG3's amazing athletic ability ... Shanahan was thoroughly out coached and game planned by Fisher & Staff, and without RG3 singlehandedly making a ton of plays, this one would have been a blow out instead of just a 3 point loss. The Rams were the much better prepared team, and that falls squarely on the shoulders of Mike and Kyle and Hasslett.
Lastly ... it was the worst officiated game I have ever seen, and in the forth Q, i didn't know if I was watching football or Ultimate Fighting with all of the personal fouls that were not called.
All in all, in my opinion ,,, the Redskins will need to win in spite of, and not because of Mike & Kyle Shanahan, and Jim Hasslett .... Danny Smith? If he's one of the best in the league ... I'm Batman.
The team is poorly coached and poorly prepared too often.

I'm sorry but Danny Smith isn't the one who is supposed to block anyone from getting to our punter.... looks like someone needs to be replaced on Special Teams.
As for Haslett, he isn't going anywhere, we went from the 2nd worst D in the league in 2010, with players who had no idea what they were doing and last year we improved to middle of the pack, with no safeties, this year we are in the same boat, and DeAngelo still can't cover any one. So until Secondary gets solved, we will have games like this.
Refs suck either way and this was a dirty game. If Morgan doesn't catch 10+ TD's this year and doesn't go over 1000 yds then he needs to be gone. Dumb ass plays like that are what lose games, as shown. That play lost this game, he turned a makeable FG into a nearly impossible FG, never mind the Robinson drop and the horrible officiating(If something isn't done, with fines or whatever, about the hit on Fred Davis then GODell needs to go). Josh Morgan this game is on YOU! You better come back and play your ass off like you have never played before, for the rest of the season. You need to apologize to your fans and most of all your teammates for letting them down like you did.
Now lets go home and kick the *sh$t* out of Cinncy!

RGIII and the terrible D
Pats lost to the Cardinals
Cave-ins somehow lost to the Eagles
Dallas lost to the Seahawks
We didn't look good, but it's not the end of the world. I think this game woulda been 31-10 without RGIII.
Back to back road games time to bounce back at home vs. the Bengals.

They should get rid of all of the nonsense of the automatic review booths and give the coaches 3 challenges to challenge every call from the official on the field. Oh you can challenge this, but you can"t challenge that. Oh this one is reviewed automatically, this one can't be reviewed. Listen, 3 timeouts, 3 challenges, done deal!

The officials were poor on both sides, so, I wouldn't go arguing about that. They actually took points off the board for them. Seems like the Rams didn't get too caught up in the blown calls in the first half, were able to keep their poise and we focused too much on it when it wasn't going our way in the 2nd.
Morgan's PF was tough, but no one play loses the game.
Haslett's game calling was pretty poor. Continuing zone after it was clearly not working was tough, but we were also getting gashed on the run by a 7th round rookie. I don't think that's defensive play calling. They owed us on the O-Line.
It's one game. Let's see how we respond. Cincinnati is tough, so, we better get ready.

Maybe one of you can explain this to me, but I don't understand why our D always plays so far off the receivers. The entire game, the Rams always had at least one receiver wide open. Is the plan there to just hope their receivers drop the the ball? What are they trying to accomplish with this scheme, other than to allow opposing defenses to march down the field?
Flat out ugly game. The refs had no control of the game.
Losing Rak and Carricker so early really hurt the defense, but you still must make adjustments to what your opponent is doing.
On the blocked punt it looked like guys were releasing before the ball was kicked.
Hopefully Morgan will make up for the boneheaded play.
After 2 games I thought the Skin's would be 1-1, so with everybody else in the division 1-1 and Philthy 2-0 but being lucky to be there. We still control our destiny.
Bring on Cinncy.

I don't know. I've always hated that as well. Used to drive me crazy when Greg Williams used it all the time and here I was screaming about it tonight.

It is a bet that a QB cannot sustain good passes with pressure on him for a sustained drive to get scores.
Problem: Bradford's quick release neutralized pressure.
Problem: Bradford was deadly accurate with the quick release.
Problem: Precise route running by receivers
He was hitting his receivers underneath the zone and in the seams.
Why some guys were extremely wide open was a result of miscommunication and missed assignments - translation: defense is too complicated for its own good.
Result: Poor game plan for a QB with those skills.
