Nah, we lost that for a load of reasons, Morgan's stupidity was just a part of it.
We can do so much better than that, and we know it....
Our defensive coaching with Haslett being too bullheaded to realize how much yardage they were getting against that soft zone due to our poor pass rush was a HUGE one and also special teams and not just the punt block....
However on the brightside we couldn't have played much worse(STs and defensively and just plain stupidity all correctabe) and we still only lost by 3

Give Fischer credit. His game plan plus dirty tactics lead to this win.
He had his players get in the faces of our players every play, take cheap shots and as expected by the end of the game, somebody is going to lose it at the wrong time - this just happened to be Morgan.
The refs let this game get out of hand - not saying that the refs cost us the game, but they allowed the Rams tactics to go unchecked.
josh morgan -too fing stupid to play in the nfl
If you are that dumb-go to the cfl-he wasn't much of a receiver anyway!!!

True, can't blame the loss on Morgan. The loss goes on the coaches particularly Haz.

I know what you're doing, but it doesn't mitigate Morgan's idiocy... Indeed, the ball Robinson dropped would have changed the outcome of the game... but an ERROR is not the same thing as STUPID. Robinson will learn from his mistake... Morgan clearly has a problem with self-disipline, and will likely do it again in a similar circumstance.Burgundy&Wha? wrote:Yes, Morgan lost his head. However, on one of the previous drives Aldrick RObinson dropped a bomb that would have had us in scoring position. That's where the game was lost.
Also, never leave it up to a kicker.

Look ... it was dumb ... but I'm telling you that I watched the Rams playing a very dirty game out there .... hitting receivers in the face .... laying on them after tackles, and grabbing a leg and twisting and pulling .... and no calls from these idiots who have no business refereeing a pee wee league game.
When that crap goes on all game long ... the frustration builds. Just before the fumble, a lineman threw Fletcher to the ground and then jumped on top of him and rolled him .... no flag. This stuff was happening on almost every play.

If Morgan does it again, cut him loose. No doubt. However, that previous play would have been huge. Playmakers make plays. We needed that.

Did you see Fletcher throw the ball at the ass that rolled him? No? The time to take a penalty was before the end of the third quarter... NOT during a drive to end the game. You cannot excuse this.RayNAustin wrote:Look ... it was dumb ... but I'm telling you that I watched the Rams playing a very dirty game out there .... hitting receivers in the face .... laying on them after tackles, and grabbing a leg and twisting and pulling .... and no calls from these idiots who have no business refereeing a pee wee league game.

In the Postgame Press Conference, the press is asking Shanny questions about the refs. To his credit, he gave no answers that would cause Goodell to fine him.
I am just sick. What are they doing? Special teams fell apart again, the defense let eveything happen and then reacted to it. The offense a half step slow - its' like they all got on a bus and drove to st lou early this morning for the game and were all wore out.
The officials added another dimension to the game too.
The Rams were better coached i think. Other than not questioning the 'touchdown' early in the game they did everyhing right.

What suggests to you at this point that Morgan is a playmaker... I have seen nothing so far to suggest that. Playmakers do, indeed make plays. Are they still playmakers when they give back more than they gain?Burgundy&Wha? wrote:Countertrey wrote:I know what you're doing, but it doesn't mitigate Morgan's idiocy... Lousy game; dropped passes, dumb fouls. Today, the Redskins just seemed like they were there to put in time until the end of the game. Gomes stood out in particular. Several times he was just there while the back ran by him. Didn't even make a move to try to tackle. The Rams certainly showcased the Redskins bad secondary. It seemed like whenever they wanted to or needed to, they got a catch for a first down, touchdown or just moving the ball. Did they even complete a pass for less than 10 yards? Morgan should be cut. He was next to useless today. Now we know why SF let him leave.

They rattled our cage, and no doubt it was part of their game plan, they were talking to RGIII all game, trying to get in his head. Why not..? I'd try that against a rookie RGIII to see what happens. It was the reaction of other more experienced players that disappointed today...
Officials sucked, defensive play calling was ill thought out, special teams fu<k up again, a big dropped pass, too many penalties, I could go on....
We didn't look anywhere near as slick as last week, their dirty tactics played a part in that in my opinion.
In Scot We Trust!
I wanna say I'm disappointed, but I'm not. Sadly, I've come to expect these typical unprofessional, embarrasing performances that we've been watching for years...this team never gets any better, no matter how many personnel changes it goes through...its just a perpetual nightmare...and to add to it, the absolute worst officiated and announced games made this one of the worst games I've ever seen....when do we get the replacement announcers?
