Well I gotta congratulate your team's win..that was a nice win, outplaying the Saints by more than what that final score was.
And isn't it something that virtually all of you fans picked the Redskins to lose this game. So if you think you're going to "stick it in the face of the "haters"" with this, you're gonna have to stick it in your own face, first.
From the predictions that I saw from Redskin fans, it turns out that I was giving them much more of a chance than most of you were. Imagine that.
(It's actually has to do with the knowledge I have. Anyways...)

But it is hard to know what this means for the Redskins. Especially since they're running this pretty alternative looking offense with its QB in the Pistol formation so much. The rest of the league now can do what the Saints couldnt do: gameplan. So we'll see. But good game #1. And this is not uncommon for the Redskins. In fact, week one they are now 3-0 under Shanahan....beating the favorite each time. Gibbs was 3-1 in his openers. Even Spurrier was 2-0. For the redskins, it's wake me up when september ends. True colors show then.
Side note:
One thing I kept thinking as I watched this game, was boy the Redskins NOW really miss Sean Taylor. I never thought that previously because, well, for the last couple of years, it wouldnt have mattered.
But now, in today's NFL with guys like Jimmy Graham all over the league, Sean Taylor would be a piece to that defense to defend against guys like that but also would be a presence to the back 4 to go along with a hustling front 7. They dont have a presence back there. Imagine Carlos Rogers, Champ Bailey, Sean Taylor and Laron Landry (who had a standout day for the Jets) in the defense's secondary.
