I missed it too. He went in to the locker room in the 1st or
2nd quarter. He came back out but didn't play anymore.

Congrats on the win. Great beginning for RG3. The future looks bright. And that kid at RB was my college fantasy team MVP last year.

Let me just say that we saw what I have been harping on for years .... having a QB with the ability to engineer drives and put points on the board really helped out the defense, and that defense was a BEAST today. Without a magician like Brees, they wouldn't have scored more than 14 points. Brees was under constant pressure, and only his ridiculous ability were the Saints able to keep this one from being a blow out. And the secondary I thought played an outstanding game.

Bottom line, this team is way better than people give credit for ... particularly the defense that has been trying to carry the team for years with a laughable offense. Now that we have a competent QB, we see the potential, as RG3 makes the entire team play better.

Special teams needs some serious work ... that blocked put could have cost us the game.

And someone needs to whisper to the Shanaclan, "stop trying to kill our QB with these designed runs". RG3 will not be able to take this type of unnecessary punishment ... he's got a great arm ... use that, and not is body as a tackling dummy.

Wow, as powerful as both defenses were how on earth did the score get so high? Well, NO had some help as 14points were from the punt thing and a 3rd(?) quater TD that they got downfield by some dubious penalties. But if i heard that score i would think that neither team had a defense and the offence was just out there playing catch.
RGIII is way better than i imagined.
Way better.
That was a very professional, powerful game where the slightest mistake was pounced on.

RG3 completed 73% of his passes

Threw for 320 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions

The other three rookie QBs that started so far today combined for one touchdown and 10 interceptions. None of them completed more than 55% of their passes.

Amazing win, and especially loved the graphic showing the redskins scored 10-points in each of the quarters!

Big day for #10!

A couple more things...how about the sputtering 3rd drive and failing to convert the NO fans Booing the Saints? That was too strong.
And with about 3 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, did you hear the NO fans chanting RG3,RG3,RG3 - the announcers didn't mention it but i could clearly hear it.

Yes! There was a ton of burgundy in that crowd- that didn't lose a single home game last year!

I agree Ray. We also played NO defense but for once I

The 10 points per quarter is what caused my eyes to widen. (And more than 300 yards thrown from RG3.)

Did you mean New Orleans defense or no defense?

I'd say our defense played pretty good considering the opponent. You can't tell it by the stats, but most of the Saints offensive stats came in the fourth quarter

Special Teams

Great game! Glad to see us put some points up and the coverage by our secondary was much better than expected, along with the O-line which I didn't find as much of an issue as the media since they were even improving towards the end of last year. Of course our defensive front helped coverage and great QB play helped protection.

The minor concern is how quickly the Saints scored the TD without using a timeout. Why weren't we forcing them to throw the ball in the middle of the field?

But I think one glaring thing needs to be addressed, and that's special teams blocking. Danny Smith obviously hasn't addressed this despite having way too many FGs blocked last year. It isn't like we have had plays going for us in other direction to make up for those mistakes.
