Madden VS. Espn 2k5

Post by SkinFan 0-16 or 16-0 »

Ok I read the thread that Chris Luva Luva posted (Thanks for that by the way. And at first I did not plan on buying both games.

If you had to buy one game which one would it be. Madden 05 or espn. They both sound sweet. But the price difference is the only thing.

So lets say they both cost 50 $. Your in best buy and somebody gives you 50$ to by a game. These are the only two left. Which one would you buy?

Easy pick for me, there's no GC version of 2k5.

Madden.

Madden is the best as far as gameplay is concerned. Graphics I would give to ESPN.

ESPN is a little confusing at first because I have never owned a copy.

INMO Madden will dominate once its released in AUG.

Overall 2K5 is a nice pick up and for only 20 bucks, you cant beat it.

espn is all good, but it can't even touch last years madden imo. the 20 bucks, is what sold me on it, but if i only could choose one, i'd wait and get madden.

In the same boat here. Madden '05 for GC.

Am I the only one who thinks new games are too expensive? $50!!!

I want the new Madden Game like everyone else, but I wish they would come down a bit like ESPN did - they may not have the motivation tho.

You could probably pick up last year's version really cheap.

Yes! In fact, that's why I don't plan on buying Madden 2005. ESPN was in my price range, and Madden just isn't. I can't justify buying another football game when I already have one, with finances being the way they are these days. Besides, ESPN is a good game. I like it a lot.

My pleasure. And yes games are very expensive, but you a lot goes into making them, sometimes millions of dollars. A lot of companies are going out of business.

ESPN NFL 2K5

Post by Waterboy »

Just picked up ESPN etc. the other day. Played as Skins v. Ravens and got smoked--switched to Rookie so I can get a better feel for the game. Spanked the Aints 63-10. Portis had 5 TDs, Coles finished with @150 yds/TD, and Sean Taylor had an INT for me to boot.

The D is so much different than EA Sports' NCAA or Madden. But the basics remain the same.

Will still pick up Madden when it comes out. But ESPN has really impressed me so far, too. :)
