Personally I would have a good dose of nickel packages for this game. This would mean Rak and Kerrigan lining up as DEs. I would have Fletch and Chris wilson as the two middle Lbs. Chris Wilson would be chipping Graham and blitzing most of the time to utilize his rushing skills. Fletcher would mostly be in coverage and blitz the middle from time to time.
So that would be a strategy of using 5 guys rushing the QB most of the time with six in coverage. So Rak and Kerrigan lining up as DEs Cofield, Carriker, Bowen and Jenkins rotating at DT for just this game. With Chris Wilson rushing the QB as the second ILB even though he is an OLB. Thats ok though. Even against the Run I think our front can hold up well in a nickel package for most of the game.
Perry Riley will be the other ILB on most snaps.

Doughty troubles me because of the offense we're playing. His coverage skills are his biggest liability. Well, that and not being athletic enough to make up for his lack of coverage skills. Rumor is that Drew Brees is really good at throwing to receivers.
Doughty is a strong safety. His responsibilities are mainly run support. I'm not that concerned about him. Free safety on the other hand...
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

I know. And I'm not worried at all about him in that capacity, but there is no way the saints don't specifically target him the moment he has to cover. That's when I'm worried. If its only 3 times, that's 3 potential TDs!

I get what you're saying but Daughty is a much better coverage guy than most give him credit for. He is physically limited, but has very solid coverage skills.
Other than Graham, the Saints don't have another elite receiver. Colston is good, but he certainly isn't special. The rest of the receivers are just guys. Sproles causes match up problem, but he will probably be covered by a LB.
Butler says ankle is 100 percent healed
After getting released by the Cardinals on Friday, Crezdon Butler did not remain unemployed long.
The Redskins claimed him off waivers Saturday, giving the team five cornerbacks and Butler the second chance he had been seeking.
Drafted out of Clemson in the fifth round by Pittsburgh in 2010, Butler played sparingly in four games his rookie season. He was waived by the Steelers the following preseason and claimed by Arizona a few days later.
Butler, however, appeared in only one regular season game with the Cardinals before a gruesome ankle suffered in practice cut his season short.
“I need my speed, and that was the first thing that went when I broke my ankle,” Butler said. “Sometimes it gets a little bit sore after practice, which is normal any time you break a bone. But once I’m loose, it’s loose. It’s 100-percent healed.”

Aren't the Saints missing like four starters from the suspension? People (not you guys specifically, but people generally) act like we're the only team out there missing an injured guy or with questions on the o-line or whatever. I want to see our guys go out there and just get it done this weekend, not make excuses.!

I'll admit I thought more D players were going to miss a few games at least.
Vilma may or may not be good, but he's probably the first name the comes to mind when the Saints D is mentioned.

Yeah, the media has pumped up the so-called bounty thing into something cataclysmic, which it isn't.
The Saints only had two current players suspended: Will Smith and Vilma. Vilma was injured for almost the entire year last year and the Saints went 13-3. When he came back he was ineffective. He's still hurt actually and if his suspension was overturned, he would go on the PUP. They brought in Curtis Lofton to replace him, who is a better player at this point in their careers. They also brought in David Hawthorne to play SAM or WILL (he played MLB for the Seahawks last year and had over 100 tackles).
Fujita and Hargrove were also suspended but neither have played for the Saints in a few years.
The only appreciable loss is obviously Sean Payton. We'll see how big a loss it is...they are following his detailed system, its an experienced, great coaching staff, and Carmichael is an excellent, excellent play-caller. I think they can weather the loss of Payton for a year and still win the division and make a playoff run. If it was more than one year, well...that would be a massive problem (more so).
As for the Skins., I'm worried about playing RG3 in his first game...I really don't know what to expect there. The Saints have a long history of getting completely owned by athletic QBs in their first start (outside of 2009, where they ate young QBs alive, almost as if there was some kind of incentive to do so...).
