I wouldn't be surprised to see Compton called up during this season.

Chris Russell‏@Russellmania980

Apologize if this is out there already, but former #Redskins OT Willie Smith signed a deal with the Oakland Raiders today. Congrats

Looks like we lost Willie Smith, but that is understandable that someone would offer him a contract - it doens't say PS, so it looks like he is on the roster.

I am wonderng if it turned out that he wasn't a fit for the ZBS and that is why he didn't progress of course, it could be that he lacked the work ethic.

Another interesting tidbit is Keim campared Smith to Stephon Heyer. He ends up following Heyer's footprints to Oakland. He better hope that his fate doesn't end the same way.

Thanks Frank. Totally forgot. He should feel right at home. Perhaps it was his work ethic. He seemed to have so much potential.

ESPN 980‏@ESPNRadio980
Jon Crompton unlikely to sign back to practice squad

I have no problem with that or if we don't sign a PS QB.

The Butler move confuses me. I know we could use another CB, but we are in desperate need of a back up OT. We don't have a capable one on the 53. (please no one tell that we do, I know Black is there, he just isn't capable IMHO).

Hopefully, they are waiting until after the first game, then they will bring in a veteran OT. Lets hope no one gets hurt on that first game.

If I were a betting man, I would say tackle or running back (Slaton Rumors emphasized that), but CB? Your solution sounds good! Shanny says if the OL is out that that fits our scheme he will get him. Ryan Harris?

Maurice Hurt has experience playing OT. We have some versatile backups, but I agree, we are a little thin on the line

TIght end Deangelo Peterson, who made a strong run for Rams 53-man roster, has been signed to Washington's practice squad.

There is no one other than T Will I would want playing LT. I wish we had kept Smith.

Ryan Harris signed with the Texans!!!
