So anyone have the scoop besides he was suspended? When did he fail the drug test...after oct 2011 reinstatement? What a chucklehead....and, couldn't have been a marginal player, was one of the guys that actually stood out......

He got an INDEFINITE suspension which is only up for review in a year for multiple weed positive tests that landed him a prior 4 game suspension and a year long suspension.

This one ain't on Goodell, this is all on Jackson. Blame him.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

Smoking pot was more important to him then his football career. At least he has his priorities in order!

Smoking something which is less harmful that alcohol or tobacco (which apparently is fine by the NFL).

I hear you on the normative debate re marijuana, ACW, but that is beside the point. The rules are don't smoke AND get caught. Then, don't get caught and suspended, not once, not twice, but three times.

These are not hard rules to follow. Its a fairly easy cost benefit analysis; smoke weed or make millions of dollars.

Tanard chose poorly.

I'll be honest here I love mary jane but my job doesn't care if I smoke. If I was given the option of playing something I love for a job I would quit smoking in a heart beat. Pot can be easy to quit unlike other "drugs" especially when you have a few million reasons to do it. I don't understand how somebody could throw away there career over just to get stoned. Also as much as I dislike Godell he definitely isn't to be blamed here especially when Jackson has already been caught twice.

Now I really pray to god here that Trent and Freddy haven't been hanging out with this fool during training camp!!!!

This debate on pot came up after our other two players popped positive and were suspended 4 games. Always seems to be the better players on our team for some darn reason, not the third string guy.

While I cannot get all that excited about someone getting popped for smoking pot as I would be in the camp for legalization....the point remains that it is currently not legal. Jackson is 3 times a chucklehead. I don't know what his issue(s) are.....but it isn't that difficult to just say no, especially if it will negatively impact your job, and your large salary especially when compared to most of America.

Everyone will make a mistake....but strike three and you are out.

Absolutely useless. Thanks for wasting everyone's time and making this team worse, Jackson.

I'll give you that. Tanar is as dumb as the law.

How the hell though does Britt only get ONE game?

How the hell though does Britt only get ONE game?
•July, 2012: Britt was arrested and charged with driving under the influence when he was stopped entering Fort Campbell military post in Kentucky. Britt failed a field sobriety test, but refused a Breathalyzer. He's waiting for a court date.
•June, 2011: Britt surrendered to Metro police and was released on bond after providing false information on his driver's license application on two different occasions. The charges were eventually dropped.
•June, 2011: Britt was arrested at a New Jersey car wash and charged with tampering with evidence, obstructing a government function and resisting arrest. Police say Britt crushed a cigar containing what officers suspected was marijuana. The charges were downgraded to disorderly persons offenses. Britt eventually pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace and was fined $1,500 in Hoboken Municipal Court.
•June, 2011: A felony charge against Britt in New Jersey was downgraded to careless driving and a $478 fine. This followed an April 12 arrest on charges of eluding police officers, lying to an officer hindering apprehension and obstructing government function after a stop.
•February, 2011: Theft-by-deception charges against Britt in New Jersey were downgraded to misdemeanors. Two bail bonds companies accused Britt of not following through on a pledge in court to pay bail for a friend was who arrested in January 2010. That $12,500 payment was made earlier in 2011.
•October, 2010: Britt was involved in a barroom fight at a Nashville club. One man accused Britt of punching him in the face during the fracas, and said he needed four stitches. After an investigation into the incident, however, Nashville police did not charge Britt.
•August, 2010: Britt received a misdemeanor citation in Nashville for driving on a revoked license. Police said they pulled Britt over because his car's window tinting was too dark.
•January, 2010: New Jersey police suspended Britt's license after an arrest for outstanding traffic warrants. Britt paid $865 and was released.
With the exception of the DUI arrest, most of this is poor decision making but not exactly the kind of thing (with possible exception of the outstanding traffic warrants, though can't imagine what those could be other than the cops getting po'd about his not having paid a bunch of parking tickets or failure to stop at stop signs, I think anything more severe would have been more than just a suspended license). So I think he only got a game because frankly i'm not sure it warranted more, especially because he's only run afoul of the Conduct Policy with the NFL, oh and these aren't actions that threaten Goodell's fairy tale of caring about player health to help the NFL avoid liability for all of the concussions that were suffered and that they're being sued for.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

My point is he should be more concerned about his football career rather then his habit. I have my medical MJ card for your information. I am not debating the legality or moral right to use cannibus.

As a player who represents our football team. Wouldnt you want a guy who at least can follow enough rules to play on Sunday?
