These games are very interesting because guys have basically one last chance to shine before the roster cut to 53.

We can't be too shocked about this, or about Cooley. Since Mike came on board, he's played the best players. Regardless of salary, draft status or whatever... If you practice good, if you show up, you get recognized for it.

I like that there are no sure things. I want competition. That's what this team has lacked. The game today... We could possibly see Briscoe crack the starting line up, you'd think that'd be crazy but it could happen.

I'm hoping that one of the WR's separate themselves today. Here are the guys I think are on the bubble:

1. Armstrong
2. Banks
3. Briscoe (I think he makes it regardless of tonight's production)
4. Robinson

I only think we're going to keep 6 WRs this year because of our current TE situation and the fact that we'll use a lot of 2 TE sets. Not going to make any predictions right now because I don't think the coaches know but unless Briscoe get's hurt, I think he makes it.

To be honest it's all just a part of progress. Two years ago Cooley could have showed up with one leg and he would've made the team. As starter.

This year, for the first time in longer than I care to remember, players will be cut that'll make you think "Damn, did we just mess up by letting him go...?!?!?" as they sign for other teams later on.

That's all a good sign that our squad is getting stronger, younger, hungrier. I've seen enough out of all the receivers to think they can make it in this league, maybe with a little more help.

As far as Cooley goes, if Davis tears it up this season, and Paul or Paulsen contribute well when called upon at the end of the day we'll alll be saying it was the right thing to do.

I don't buy into the whole 'Davis is one failed test away from a season long ban' reason for keeping extra TEs. Truth is Davis is one failed test away from the end of his NFL career, who'd touch him after that...!??!? NOONE IS THAT STUPID TO THROW AWAY ALL THAT FOR A SPLIFF.

Still, I'm upset for Cooley and missing him already if truth be told.

But it wasn't Shanny but Ol' Father Time that made that decision happen IMO.

I HAVE ONE (1) CLUB LEVEL SEAT, SECT. 306, ROW 9, SEAT 22... can't make it tonight but for my THN friends I'll let it go for a cool $40. You have to meet me for it but it's yours if you want it. I'll be in Briggs Chaney or Laurel if you can get it.

NO PARKING PASS

If $40 for club seat is too much, make me an offer in the Private Message.. please don't derail the thread more than I just did.

I think they're going to have Cousins play the first half and then Crompton who was just resigned play the 2nd half.
