Where to watch the Skins in Wakiki Beach?
I have to travel to Hawaii for work and will be there the first week of the season. I do not want to miss the NO game. Does anyone know of a place or way I can watch the game in Wakiki?
Thanks for any help!!!

I'm not 100% on this but a lot of times closer to the day of the game you'll see someone who puts up a link in HogWash.hogwild33 wrote:I have to travel to Hawaii for work and will be there the first week of the season. There are some west coast guys here so hopefully they may have the inside track for you but the only thing I found was this...

I would say visit any Hooters and you'll not only enjoy the game but the view as well. Now, if you're Wife is with you and she won't go for that, I would just check with your hotel concierge to see what they would recommend. Make sure to check the kickoff time and factor in the time change. It'll be 6 hours if you live on the East Coast.
Depends on where u r staying. Nearest Hooters to waikiki is not within walking distance so would have to drive or take a cab. There is a buff wild wings....and the yard house....also moose Mcgillcuddys.....several places that have tvs, food, beer. Of course, a 1pm game on east coast is 7am there......where r u staying, may be able to recommend places near ur hotel....i have gone to oahau many times on busyness

I was in Waikiki a couple of weeks ago... and, I'm not ashamed to admit that there was more to watch there than football... would have been a tough call... otoh...
and, enjoy Hawaii... ALOHA!
conveniently, there is a nice Hooters near Waikiki, at the Aloha tower... as well as Buffalo Wild Wings, and others...frankcal20 wrote:I would say visit any Hooters.
BING! We have a winner! This is your best bet for solid advice.and you'll not only enjoy the game but the view as well. Now, if you're Wife is with you and she won't go for that, I would just check with your hotel concierge.
7 hours... Hawaii doesn't do DST...to see what they would recommend. Make sure to check the kickoff time and factor in the time change. It'll be 6 hours if you live on the East Coast.

While you are certainly accurate in that there are a lot of distractions in Wakiki that could impact ability/desire to watch football on TV.....think you are inaccurate in the 7 hour statement. While Hawaii does not observe daylight saving time, the time difference in Sept and Oct will be 6 hours from east coast, as we do not shift off of daylight savings time until Nov 4. At that point, the time difference would be 7 hours.....Countertrey wrote:I was in Waikiki a couple of weeks ago... and, I'm not ashamed to admit that there was more to watch there than football... would have been a tough call... otoh...

No, that's when it shifts back to a six hour difference.rskin72 wrote:While Hawaii does not observe daylight saving time, the time difference in Sept and Oct will be 6 hours from east coast, as we do not shift off of daylight savings time until Nov 4. Right now it is 1010 on the east coast....hawaii time is 0410 (thank you Google). And...come to think about it.....when we fall back in Nov, time difference would be 5 hours. Thinking about all of this has made my brain hurt....I am going to go back to discussing football here....Deadskins wrote:No, that's when it shifts back to a six hour difference.rskin72 wrote:While Hawaii does not observe daylight saving time, the time difference in Sept and Oct will be 6 hours from east coast, as we do not shift off of daylight savings time until Nov 4. Seems you are correct about the current difference being 6 hours (I always thought Hawaii was six hours behind during standard time). I was correct about the time shift going down when we fall back, though.rskin72 wrote:Right now it is 1010 on the east coast....hawaii time is 0410 (thank you Google).
