Tunes to Hail to the Redskins to be Re-Done

Post by Jake »

We're not suggesting the Redskins need all the help they can get, but at least in the new season they'll have an updated recording of their fight song. "Hail to the Redskins" will be recorded tonight by some of the region's best singers and musicians, who are donating their time and talents. Backing the home team are the Washington Men's Camerata, the Washington Symphonic Brass and National Symphony Orchestra conductor Leonard Slatkin, who will lead the groups. The CD is scheduled to be released in early fall.

I hope they keep it up-tempo. Those slow versions really get on my nerves. It's supposed to be a fight song!

I play in a band in D.C. and we cover a punk version of "Hail to the Redskins." The homecrowd usually gets pretty fired up.

Is that the same song I hear play on Fox 5's Redskins Gameday pre-game show?

My band is called The Invisibles and we are currently recording studio versions of "Hail to the Redskins" and a song I wrote called "Joe Gibbs is back." BossHog, I don't have a live mp3 of the songs, but I'll post a link to them when they are finished.

My vote goes to a Lil Jon and the eastside boys remix! All of his songs just have an amplified feel to them, they just make you want to say, "YYYEEEAAAAHHH!"

I don't think it is a new tune, that's just a poor choice of words. I think it is just a new recording.
