We finally got a chance to see Robert Griffin III, live and throwing. After a short glimpse of heaven, we started to feel the other side of that coin; 100-plus degree temperatures. It was a packed first day. Everyone was excited to see the new stars, but several vets were showered with love too.
Now, getting into the notes:
Pierre Garcon and Josh Morgan are going to be the two starting, outside receivers. Both made some great, tough catches, but it was Garcon who really stood out. If I had to pick someone to be RGIII's "early favorite," it would be Pierre. RGIII's first completion was to form Indianapolis receiver, down the sideline, over the shoulder–beautiful throw and catch.
Robert Griffin III had some accuracy issues throughout the day. For what reasons, I couldn't tell you. He did, however, hit many of his timing throws from under center and showed great body posture throughout the practice. I'm a little afraid that fans will want perfection out of RGIII early in the season, without ever giving him time to be a rookie. Let's all remember that he is.

Trolling? Or... Garsçon, Moss, Davis and helu/Hightower/ Royster are all pretty good weapons to me. How much should a team have? Add Hanktime
ey and Morgan that's a lot better then most recent skins qbs had.

With Morgan being injured, it looks like Hankerson is getting his chance to make the case for starting alongside Garcon . . . and all reports are that he's taking advantage of the opportunity.
Most here realize that RGIII is a rookie and that he'll make some mistakes as he becomes the great QB that most here expect him to be
NOBODY (well most of us) expects him to be a great NFL QB this season
RGIII is a rookie QB that is going to be a great QB ........... it will take time

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

there is no way this kid will not be really good
His talent is going to be a huge help here but it's still a team game
If Joe Montana was playing here with the same group around him as RGIII is going to have - it would not change things too much
I do think he's a huge upgrade over what we had last year
I'm very excited about RGIII playing here but there's only so much we can expect with what we have right now

I spent last Sunday watching YouTube videos of RGIII. There's some great vids that show only his plays, good, bad, warts and all.
I needed to see him throw some interceptions. I needed to see him float an incompletion and get sacked and fumble etc, because I gotta tell you, I was starting to believe this kid could walk on water.
Do yourself the favor and check them out by searching for "Robert Griffin III vs"
Some things I did notice from the videos I watched:
His O-Line SUCKED (that should help him here)
Even when it looked like he could run for 10-15 yards, he's usually looking for the deep route.
His feet are always moving. I went back and watched highlights of Rex from last year for comparison and Rex might as well have been a statue comparatively.
He usually hits his receivers in stride. Again, looking at last season, Rex was hitting stationary receivers a lot. This is why RGIII has so many passing yards, it YAC.
Check out the videos if you haven't already.

I'm expecting seeing an upgrade at QB but I don't expect this kid to be the best QB in the NFE East as soon as many others here
he's a rookie ....
it's certainly not going to be too difficult for him to show that he's a better QB than we've had in some time here
at the same time
it's still going to take some time for RGIII to be a great NFL QB

I think RG3 is going to come out guns a blazin. I dont expect a slow start at all. I expect our team to win the division.
Heres what I think will happen when the season starts. The League and our division will be in such a shock with the Skins new offense. That they will not know how to defend against the Skins offense. The league is so used to seeing a sub par offense that they will not adjust until mid season. Even when they have film the Skins will have already built a nice cushion in the division. The Gstrings are notorious for slow starts, the pies and Romeo are counted on to choke and philthy is usually what they always are good but not good enough.
The addition of RG3 helps this team in so so many ways. The team confidence is boosted. The defense will now have all the rest they need and can just pin there ears back and go after the QB.

My hopes of us winning the division are lowered because we play all games but one against the division rivals in the second half of the season. I think we could surprise a few people early on, a bit like last year but better.
By the second half of the season Kyle will need to come up with a new set of effective plays to get the best out of RGIII and our backfield or risk being snuffed out a lot more.
Rookies and younger players lack the experience to adjust and spot things themselves as teams react to our offensive plans. So I'd have preferred to play the Eagles for sure earlier, plus another game or two against the others before week 9 as that would enhance our chances in my opinion.

You do make good points. Lets take a look at the schedule.
Week 1 @ the Saints.
I think we should win this one. Saints team is in shambles in my opinion. After bountygate I just dont see the Saints being good this year.
Week2@ the Rams
Another win for the Skins. The Rams are still young and upcoming.
Week3 home against the Bengals. Bengals are very good but I think we could pull off a win at home.
Week 4 @ Tampa Bay another win for the Skins. Bucs just arent that good in my opinion.
Week 5 home against the Falcons. Very close game but Skins pull off a victory with help from the home crowd.
Week 6 Home vs Viks. Win this game is a blowout.
Week 7 @ the Giants. Nail biter very close game. RG3 sees one of the best pass rushes in the league. It takes a fourth quarter field goal by the skins to pull off the win.
Week 8 @ the Steelers. At long last the Skins get there first loss of the season. The weather and constant blitz keep RG3 busy all day. A beat up Skins Oline lick there wounds.
Week 9 Home vs Panthers. RG3 comes out with a bang. He is eager to show his skills vs Cam. This game is very close. Cam and the Panthers offense just seem to win the time of possesion battle. While RG3 and the Skins offense strike with quick scores. It comes down to overtime win for the Skins.
Week 11 Home vs Philly. Absolute stomping by the Skins. Skins defense is too stingy while the leagues top offense led by RG3 seem to run up the score.
The Skins will lose week 13 against Giants and week 14 against Ravens. Then win the rest. Winning the division with a no.1 seed in the playoffs.

I'm not too worried about RGIII. Rich Tandler had a great write-up earlier that essentially said that Shanny is throwing the entire kitchen at Young Griff to really test him and to get him acclimated to just about anything he'll see. In regards to holding the ball too long, he's simply going through every progression to make every rep count. I have no doubt that he will pick it up a bit in games.
That being said, the accuracy issues I do not think will go away immediately as there are still fundamentals to be worked on. I don't expect to be wowed by his performance early on, but I hope to see maybe a 55% completion percentage and maybe a 7 YPA average.
It's good to hear that Garçon is doing well; he is being highly paid. I think both he and Hankerson have a chance to explode in this offense, especially considering the ability this offense has shown to get receivers open. Both are natural playmakers.
