Kevin Lockett is a Jet.

Kevin Lockett signed witht the Jets today. I don't know why the Jags cut him and signed Stokes (who they cut yesterday). Lockett is a quality football player and a great person, too. He is a really nice guy and a class act. He deserves to be in the league now.

I don't think Lockett was playing for the Jags... their WR were Stokes, Jimmy Smith, Matthew Hatchette, Troy Edwards.

They also have Cortez Hankton and Jimmy Redmond on their depth chart too, so I don't think they had Lockett as well.

They cut Stokes to make room for Kevin Johnson who was released buy the Browns.

The Jets needed Lockett because Chrebet was put on the IR but I haven't seen that report anywhere... got a link? I thought the Jets would jump on Stokes after he was released by JAX.

lockett didn't impress me too much last year, for that matter none of the wideouts really did anything for me last year.

Lockett was with them last year and preseason this year. They released him during final cuts.
