McNally should go on the practice squad. I think he'll be on an active roster in a year or two.

I think that he and others competing for roster spots at that position moved Lorenzo Alexander to yet a different position in the team.

Minnifield might be the only bright new spark we have in the secondary. Lost in the gloom surrounding the safety spot last year was the fact that the corners weren't great either. I don't expect Griffin or Torrence to be much of a boost there, and Barnes doesn't look like he'll ever break through to a new level. So I'm praying that Minnifield proves himself to be 100% fit, and actually turns out to be our steal of the offseason. If everything I have read about him is true, then he should be our #3 cornerback this year, and could well be a starter sooner rather than later.

My money is on Minnifield, he will be starting sooner than later. Prediction is by game 6.
