On blitzes, Lavar ALWAYS lines up at end, which matches him up with a huge tackle during the rush. This puts LA at a huge disadvantage from the get go. He's a strong dude, but come on he seems to always get swallowed by the tackle, which gets him a minimal push at best.
IMO, why not STUNT or bring him an a delayed blitz up the middle?? With this guys speed and quickness it will assure a much better result.
Many teams employ this tactic with their most athletic LB with good success.
Oh, I forgot, Edwards is a rookie DC and unable to adjust his standard play calling. Can I get some imput here?

Lavar isnt effective blitzing because the opposition audibles to a run opposite LA. Trotter should be the one blitzing up the middle. He broke down a fullback and the rb lost 2 on the play. We should be doing some run blitzes, but we have to deal with a rookie DC.

666 - I agree with the interior blitzing. Pull the DTs and open gaps when the OL shifts to adjust and do some interior blitzes. The outside blitzes aren't getting in - fake Arrington on the outside and rush Trotter straight in... or variations. Make it where they don't know where it is coming from and it might affect the pass protection.
Good thoughts
I liiiiiiiiiiiiiike blitzes

exactly, thats the point i was getting at, i like to see biltz, just about on every down,
armstead would be a good trojan horse on the outside, so could bailey, or ohalete....i just want to see dumb-founded qbs with presure on their minds other than ramsey....

Think about what the Patriots did to us in the preseason with their blitz packages. Think about what the Pukes did to us Sunday before last. That is what I am talking about. Yes it was nice to see three DL sacks, but wouldn't it have been nice to see a bunch of hurries and knockdowns to go with it? Nothing like scrambling the QB's cranium by not knowing where the next hit comes from - look at how Patrick flinches with no one within 10 yards of him - that is what happens - even to pro bowlers.
