he isn't a guaranteed success???? that's your reasoning for drafting another qb onto a team with one of the worst rosters in the NFL???
your team just spent 3 first round draft picks and a high 2nd round draft pick on the guy and all u can say is he isn't a guarantteed success so the team should use another draft pick on another qb???

Mostly, but know they get to do their jobs
There was a great article on the WP about this. They dept is the same but they weren't given the proper tools to do their jobs and weren't really consulted.
Totally different dept, but the same.

Just because they took the BPA in Cousins doesn't mean other areas won't be addressed.
- we have more picks
- we will have free agent rookies
- round 2 of free agency starts after the draft when teams release veterans at positions they've drafted at.
- John Beck is gone now, that will free up cap sPace.
- maybe we get a 6th or a 7th for CromPton?

ALL of these guys have talent - they are the top 200+ players coming out of college
thankfully for the Redskins, those fans (and dumb and dumber) are not running things here
this FO and the group supporting them are ONLY looking to add players that suit what we need - NOT players with talent
this franchise is heading in the right direction again BECAUSE we don't just add the best player available
GOTTA LOVE this FO
I couldn't disagree more with both points you made. I think Bruce and Mike are bringing in the BPA. The difference between they and Vinny is that they actually know who the BPA is.
Totally agree. You win by drafting talent, not for position. Position is a consideration but BPA is far more weighted. Cousins blew the ridiculous Shannahan drafting for position theory out of the water.

The problem with the thinking on the Cousins pick is this: If we took him to groom in the hopes of trading him for a 2nd rounder in a couple of years, we're wrong in doing so. We are risking his performance on a future 2nd round pick. Why? If a pick in a lower round this year is worth (in trade) a round ahead the following year, and even one round ahead of that in two years, then we should have just found a trade a trade partner pick-for-pick now. It's less risky.

Since the Cousins pick was purely a BPA and surprising at that - do I get credit for making the call on the ILB as our next 4th round pick?

nfldraftscout.com lists keenan Robinson as an ILB.
