Engaging someone in two threads = "following them around the board"? Sure thing, dude.

Look, if you bump an old thread solely because you want to imply that Shanny agrees with you as opposed to everyone else on THN, it's probably a good idea to at least re-read the thread and/or get your story straight first.

One of the two main discussions in this thread included you repeatedly saying Shanny should've cut Gano right away (and forget about even considering him for training camp), while your opponents were arguing that we should keep Gano around at least until TC when competition could be brought in — and at that point, may the best man win.

Ask yourself: which is Shanny doing?

Despite what you imply, I've got no problem with you holding your side of the debate, then or now. So you want Gano gone: good for you.

The only head-scratcher is that you posted the news to this thread and implied it proved Shanny agreed with you and not, e.g., me or DarthMonk. Come on, Hogster, you have to admit that's pretty funny

I said I would have cut him. My opinion. I'm more Bill Parcells on this issue. It's called having an opinion. Now go search more of my posts and look for something else to criticize and pick apart. Thanks in advance.

Searching through your posts? Remind me in the future not to respond to more than one of your posts within a 24-hour period. You are taking this way too personally. Believe me when I say that responding to two threads at the top of the forum didn't require any special attention, much less "searching."

I have no problem sticking to my argument. Yes. I did want Gano cut immediately. That is my personal preference. I am not in favor of bringing him in for competition simply because my opinion is that his problems are kicking in game situations. He's won these competitions and kicked well in practice before. Accordingly, I think it's delaying the inevitable.

Shanny obviously doesn't agree. That's fine. But, some on this site suggested that Gano was "the least of our problems" last year. And, bringing in a kicker of Rackers' caliber suggests that the coaching staff disagrees with that notion that he's darn near untouchable. If you look at Racker's comments in the Post, he believes this is "the best situation for him and his family." Meaning, dude has some indication that this job is anyone's right now.

Those comments were based on being promised a long term deal but only offered the vet min. before visiting Washington. He had no visits lined up but Paul Sheehy was in Ashburn, so it fit

What's the deal that the Texans were willing to let Rackers walk in the first place? Just curious.

Was promised a long term deal, so he didn't look for another team when the free agent market opened. Was offered $925K plus $65K to sign a one year deal on Friday. So he called his agent (who happened to be working on a deal to bring a different client back to DC). His agent set up a meeting for Monday. The rest is up to Gano

Last year in camp was Shayne Graham and Graham Gano...aka: Golden Grahams. So guess that makes Gano and Rackers: Graham cRackers

Watching the playoffs. Gano has put 3 KOs through the endzone (in a cold rain) and has led the league in touchback % 2 years running since being released by us. He just made a 47 yarder look real easy - good from 60 no problem.

He sucks. Glad we got rid of him.

PS - He's the backup punter and sucks at that too.

Just hooked one. Better rethink.

Ha ha.... both Gano and Suisam are still in the HUNT.

If I remember correctly this was a surprise move that Mike Shanahan made and cut both Gano and Shayne Graham? and signed Billy Cundiff.

I don't think anyone really wanted Gano released for an older Cundiff. Shanahan was enamored with Cundiff's touchback percentage (to assist a poor coverage unit) and didn't factor in that the Ravens cut him for a reason!

I wouldn't have cut Gano but I thought we should have cut Suisham. He was consistently missing pressure kicks and didn't have a big leg. He ended up getting better with time, however too.
