Good beat writers for the Redskins?

Post by redskinsflow »

Hey guys, I've been working on a site that displays Redskins related tweets and organizes them based on type (i.e. players, writers, bloggers). I have plenty of players, but I'm struggling with finding enough good quality writers. I could use more bloggers as well, but writers are my first priority.

Do you guys happen to know any good writers I should add? I'm looking for guys that are good at breaking news or getting creditable rumors out. Not looking so much for the guys who like to talk about non-football or their personal life.

The writers who seem to mainly cover the Redskins are:

@DanGrazianoESPN
@Russellmania980
@Rich_Campbell
@Rich_Tandler

The site can be found here if you want to check it out or see how the writers I have work currently: www.nfltweeter.com/redskins I'd appreciate any feedback on the site as well.

Any other writers besides the ones I'm using that you guys feel are worth adding?

Thanks again!

I've heard a lot of fans recommend John Keim (@john_keim). Any opinion on him? He seems a bit off topic... which would make sense in the off season. But seems to have a pretty good following. I'm considering throwing him on the feeder.

I like John Keim, I think he provides good insight and often talks to sources that other's don't. He has a pretty good email newsletter that comes out every Friday.

you could also add the twitter account for the Redskins Insider column at the washington post

here's my skins/nfl twitter list:

Wow thanks for taking the time to put that list together. Added in a few more Redskins related tweeters. Some of the overall general NFL coverage guys I just put on my home page. Haven't done much with the home page yet, but for now we have a general "trending" area so users can get an idea of what's going on around the NFL as a whole.

Cool, I'm going to throw him on the feeder then. I'll make changes tonight. When I make changes the feeds go out of whack for a couple hours. I'll do it over night. Thanks for the opinion.

was it just my tired eyes or am I not seeing

Jake Russell
Mark Solway

PLUS

there are others that are a lot better at reporting and blogging than most of that list
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

If you know any others off the top of your head, please pass them on. I'd love to add them.

I tend to keep my list to people whose day job is reporting on the Redskins and the NFL...

If SkinsJock has guys who are better than that list he should provide them...
