1nik, you're absolutely right. I was focusing on TE or halfback, but this guy could probably be a pretty good linebacker, too. Given Belicheat's penchant for putting offensive players on defense, I guess that could work, too.
I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"
I know they're getting Manning and all, but you would think the Broncos might want some insurance in case Peyton goes down. Who's gonna be their backup?

The Jets are between the rock and a hard place here - they gave up too much already .....
BUT
they really want Tebow and will most likely find a way to get this deal done
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Isn't that kind of nothing for first round pick 3 years ago and a playoff game winning QB?
Per Adam Schefter
Tim Tebow has $5 million worth of recapture language, meaning Jets would have to pay back money to Denver. Jets might be unwilling.
Jets-Broncos agreed to Tim Tebow trade before Denver asked NY to pay back portion of bonuses and salary already paid to Tebow. No deal yet.
Deal may not happen
Actually, the Broncos didn't bring this up, the league did. The contracts are out there for all teams to read, and the Jet's didn't do due diligence. This is on the Jets.

Tebow's 2012 base is $1.1M, that's no problem for the Jets but throw in another $5M and you have a problem.
Which maybe what caught the eye of the league

In the end, the Jets got their 6th round pick back, and they will pay off the $5 million in $2.5 million installments over the next two years.

The Broncos "settled" for $2.5M to close the deal... When did the NFL start letting money change hands between clubs during trades anyway? Then when did coaches start getting suspended?

You're right, it was $2.53 million over two years. I thought it was 2.5 per year.

I can't wait until "Tebowing" becomes a regular feature at Foxboro... "Patriots Nation" will implode. I like it when Patriots fans are silent.

I was watching something on tv last night and they did a split screen of Tebow and Rex. On the left was Rex cussing up a storm at his players and on the right was Tebow doing his thing.
That will certainly be an... interesting... dynamic!

Report: Tebow thinks he can beat out Sanchez According to the New York Daily News, Tim Tebow chose the Jets over the Jaguars in large part because he "sees a clear path" to the starting quarterback job. Who can blame Tebow for believing he can beat out a quarterback who regressed in major fashion last season? Per Pro Football Focus, Mark Sanchez was one of four starting quarterbacks with a lower passing grade than Tebow last year. If Sanchez doesn't show substantial improvement -- all the while battling the Tebow circus -- there could be a new starter in New York by mid-season

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
