Personally I like the Garcon signing and he fits the model they followed last year in free-agency concerning age. I was glad to hear Carriker resigned and now if we can get Fletcher back, find a safety (perhaps draft) and maybe a guard or tackle I'd be really excited. Hoping they can get Winston to man the RT spot.

Moss and Gaffney both count over $2 million against the cap. Moss could be used in the slot. What good is Gaffney going to do given that we are adding Garcon and Morgan (who is a Hookie and who I am obligated to cheer against).
2,650,000 is Gaffney's cap hit
4,817,000 is Moss's hit
When you say cap hit? Do you mean how much they count against the cap in 2012? or do you mean how much we would pay to cut them?
They both will make about $2,650,000 but their cap hits include prorated bonus money and Moss will get a $500,000 roster bonus that Gaffney won't
Sorry, maybe i'm being dense here, but when you say cap hit, do you mean total amount due versus 2012 cap? Or do you mean amount of money that will count against the cap if they are cut?
If I understand salary cap rules, if they cut a player, all of the remaining bonus get accelerated into the current year.
If the accelerated bonus is bigger than the salary, its referred to as a cap hit, and if it's less than the salary, then you create savings.
I'm still not sure how much money it will cost or save to cut those players...

Wilson is as good, if not better, than Wright. Wilson is underrated.
Agreed, and they are both better than Hall.

How many #2 through 4 tour WRs dies one team need?
Don't have a #1 in the entire group. And none of these guys are a clear improvement (if at all) over Gafney or Moss. So we are concentrating on getting younger, but not measurably better.

The Royal and Morgan signings are odd, to say the least. Royal hasn't been good since 2008 and has had trouble staying healthy. Morgan hasn't really done much since college and also wasn't healthy last year. Garcon is an improvement over what we had, but its hard to see how Morgan and Royal improve anything.
