Yesterday I made my first visit to the Phillies new ballpark, Citizens Bank Park.
It is truly a great ballpark, putting the Vet to shame! It is certainly no "Camden Yards", but the fans of Philadelphia baseball (of which I include myself) certainly have a nice place to call home.
For those of you near the area that have never been there, I urge you to go. You'll like it a lot.

Re: Citizens Bank Park
Well, if we get a certain announcement in the next month or so, I might be tempted to **GASP!!!** skip the Redskins-Giants game on Sept. 21 (that's what VCRs are for) and venture up there to get a first-hand look at the new D.C. team when they play the Phillies.Justice Hog wrote:For those of you near the area that have never been there, I urge you to go. CBP is an awesome stadium. I am going to have to concur with Justice Hog and recommend that everyone check it out. The only thing that sucks about it is the people, and they're easily ignored if you bring a radio or something like that.
The last game I went to was against the Orioles, and I had the luck of sitting right in front of and right behind a bunch of Oriole fans. It made the game a lot better.
I also went to the very first game in Citizens Bank Park against the Cleveland Indians. It was an exhibition game. I sat in Section 118 I believe, though I would have to look at the tickets again. It was 117, 118, or 119. Same general area. If you can get those seats somehow, I strongly recommend them. They're an awesome view.

I like the way it looks. I'm not too keen on "ballparks"but I usually like the new one's. CBP is pretty cool.
