Peyton to the Texans - Whaaaaaa

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Peyton to the Texans - Whaaaaaa

Post by 5OClockClub »

I heard this from JLC on the NFL Channel this morning.

So - what does that mean for Matt Schaub? Does he ask to be released and then how about him reuniting with Kyle in Washington???

I can't wait until next Tuesday at 4:00 PM.

Some dude called into ESPN980 this morning and said the same thing. He seemed to think the Texans would sign Manning, and trade Schabb to the Redskins. I don't buy it though.
SPIT HAPPENS!!

Sounds like a pipe dream, but I'd take Schaub!

It's JLC. Of COURSE it's a pipe dream. OTOH... wouldn't Manning LOVE to be in the AFC South? Irsay's Nightmare!

Just off speculation alone a friend of mine (Texans fan) and I were talking about this yesterday. It actually makes a lot of sense for Houston and supposedly Peyton prefers to stay in the AFC and we know he wants to win. The Texans have a good defense and fantastic o-line plus a running game and stud WR. If they can get a 2nd or 3rd rounder in return for Schaub this would be a great deal for them, T.J Yates showed that he could be a completent back-up..they almost had B'more beat despite their injuries.

LMAO. I completely forgot the Texans are in the same division. Yeah, that would be some nice incentive.

The Texans don't have much cap space this year at all.

It now looks very much like there are 2 teams at the top of this - the Dolphins and the Broncos

I'd give the Texans a shot at him also = for V obvious reasons

My call is he's going to be playing for the Dolphins

I'm not sure why the Cards or the Seahawks did not do more

I'm sure that Peyton is going to help whichever franchise he's on - he's a truly great QB
I have no doubt that he would not make himself available to play unless he's completely able to
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I agree. Of the teams pursuing him, I'd be looking particularly at the Cards as they have a lot of talent and no QB.
