I came across this short article posted on CNN.

It sounds kinda amusing. Whoulda thunk it?

NEW YORK (Reuters) -- The U.S. Army has long lured recruits with the slogan "Be All You Can Be," but now soldiers and their families can receive plastic surgery, including breast enlargements, on the taxpayers' dime.

The New Yorker magazine reports in its July 26th edition that members of all four branches of the U.S. military can get face-lifts, breast enlargements, liposuction and nose jobs for free -- something the military says helps surgeons practice their skills.

just imagine... some dude pops out of his fox hole... takes his clothes off and goes streaking thru the "quad" with the enemy's fixated on his new military issued implants... and then the rest of his buddies sneak up behind them...

Personally, I don't think soldiers should be getting boob jobs on taxpayers money, but I guess I'm just old-fashioned like that...

This has always been in place under certain circumstaces.

Why not? They risk their lives for "tax payers."

And lest we forget, my military pay is taxed...so ironically I'm helping not only pay myself, but the guy/girl on both sides of me. Additionally, our civilian counterpart makes sometimes double what we make and doesn't have to do a lot of the quirky things we do like go to war, etc. Example...I make roughly $40,000 with benefits a year as a 10 year naval air traffic controller. A civilian on the streets can get hired at an approach facility doing roughly the same thing and in one year with all his qualifications make 100,000. Something to think about...

And back on subject, I think that plastic surgery is a great idea for some of our service members...you'd agree too if you seen some of them... :lol:
