Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

The Unofficial theHogs.net All-Time team: Wide Reciever

Post by Steve Spurrier III »

Thanks again to everyone who voted last week. The team thus far is:

QB: Joe Montana
HB: Barry Sanders
FB: Jim Brown

This week we have wide recievers. The NFL's 75th Anniversary team (http://www.nfl.com/history/legends/75th-anniversary) only lists four options: Lance Allworth, Raymond Berry, Don Hutson and Jerry Rice. Since we need two players, I thought the picking was a little slim, so I added a few, including the best Redskins reciever ever, Charley Taylor. I put Monk in so T.C. wouldn't hunt me down and skin me alive. Remember, if you want someone else, vote for "other" and specify who.

Thanks for voting!

P.S. Since everyone seems to get their vote in fairly quickly, I'm going to start the next position on Monday...

Uh oh. I have feeling that since Jerry Rice is going to get an overwhelming amount of the vote, a Redskin might sneak on the team due to the homer vote, although those votes will be divided between Monk and Taylor...

I figured the homer vote would overwhelm the Rive vote.

I voted for Monk... two reasons:

1) homerism
2) one day, I have to come face to face with TC

Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Jerry Rice, hands down, the best.

Old School - so Charley Taylor. Can we lump all the Smurfs together for one vote?

I voted "other" for Bob Hayes. No other WR changed the way the game's played.
This space reserved for BTP......If he ever wins it.

Exactly. Rice will be inducted to the "HOF"

Monk should have and should be inducted in the "HOF"! My 2 cents
