Titans Agree To Terms With RB Antowain Smith

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Titans Agree To Terms With RB Antowain Smith

The Tennessee Titans, fresh off releasing veteran running back Eddie George, have agreed to terms with former New England back Antowain Smith. Smith visited with Titans officials on Tuesday, one day before the release of George, and will sign a contract that is believed to include a $25,000 signing bonus and a base salary of $660,000, the NFL minimum for a seven-year veteran. The contract will count only $475,000 against the Tennessee salary cap. In the 2003 season, Smith ran for 642 yards for the Patriots while splitting time with Kevin Faulk.

Good move. At this point, he will probably be about as effective as George was. I'm a little suprised the Patriots didn't bring him back...

Antowain Smith is underrated. I actually think he is the perfect Joe Gibbs back except just not being too good.
