I'd agree in terms of pure QB skills, but in terms of just being a winner, I still think it's Brady. I think he gets underrated as a pure QB because more then any of them he makes the players around him so much better. Then people say he was lucky to have the players around him. He also has the Montana knack of finding ways to win. I really think this year when he didn't have the weapons and he had to score so many more points then in the past because the D was so bad and yet he goes to the Super Bowl for the fifth time shows what a winner he is in any scenario.
Super Bowl Record:
Brady: 3-2 Manning: 1-1.
Did Brady really have that much more a quality team around him? I don't think so.
I agree with the first highlighted part. This is why debating football players depends so heavily on the way we phrase the debate. I'd put Brady behind only Montana in terms of being a Winner--and I only say that because Joe never lost a SB. So even if Brady ties him, it will still be debatable.
As for the second highlighted part re talent around him. I think before this season--People would have said that Peyton had better talent at least offensively some years (Reggie Wayne, Pierre Garcon, Marvin Harrison, Dallas Clark) But, I think the only objective way to look at it is considering what the Patriots did the year Brady got hurt. That team still went 11-5 and Matt Cassell wound up getting Starter Money & the Pats landed a 1st round pick for him.
Without Peyton, that team looks like Brigham Young. I don't think people realized how integral he was to that team.

Let me just say this. Brady is definatley a winner. Will go down as one of the greatest Qbs.
To be totally honest I just dont like the guy. Him and Bellicheck. Ever since that beatdown they handed us when Gibbs was coaching second time around. It was a fifty point beat down and I still havent gotten over it. Other then my hate for the guy and team. I can still argue Manning is better then Brady.
I just think you cant ignore the fact that Brady has a hall of fame coach by his side. The year Brady broke the passing Tds single season record he had Randy Moss who broke the single season receiving Tds record. Randy Moss arguably the most gifted WR ever.
I also cant forget the infamous tuck rule game. I still find that game a little eerie and suspicous. Spygate as well. Just saying. You made good points just putting down mine.

Well he had a top 10 defense and Belicheik. Also had multiple pro Bowlers on defese, like Rodney, Seau, Seymour, Mcginest, Bruschi, Vrabel, Samuewhile Peyton usually had one or two like Bob Sanders but he got injured.
On offense I half to admit the Colts were blessed with better recievers like Marvin Harrison (HOF), Reggie Wayne (HOF?), and DEallas Clark, Brandon Stokley etc. etc. etc., however Brady ALWAYS had a better Oline, by far-----. And the one season Brady broke the records he had Randy Moss in his prime, TRYING. However Brady and Peyton have proved they can with without a running game or a good core. ( Brady in the early years with Troy Brown and David Pattten, Peyton before the season we just had only with Reggie Wayne and raising players like Jacob Tamme.) And Brady and Manning have always been able to carry their teams.
I can't believe you've all overlooked the obvious...
With the switch to 3-4, Haslett was eager for his defense to get as much game-time as possible, especially with all the new guys on board. Nobody understood that better than Grossman, who would take to the pitch and move the ball for a few downs. Once he felt the defense had got a little rest from the previous drive he'd loft one up to an opposition CB to grab and then Haslett's men would be back on the pitch for much needed practice.
That's selfless play right there...
Beck was even better. By imitating a small animal caught in a large vehicles headlights he lured the opposition into a false sense of security. He would then systematically set about setting records for the most completions for the fewest amount of yards in NFL history, displaying an understanding of the art of the short pass that no QB has ever come close to. Admit it, have you ever seen a QB more accurate over 4 yards than Beck...??
As Beck himself said, "Arm strength is soooo 2010, it's all about the backfield baby, short is the new black".
Rumours that Helu thought Beck had a crush on him because he threw the ball to him so often just weren't true.
Some QBs would be tempted to launch a long one looking for a score after so many short passes, but never Beck, he was consistent to the end. Beck's typical game figures would look something like this;
Att: 27 Comp: 24 Yards: 16 Ints: 1
Now that is what I call a unique QB. Its just a shame for him that so much emphasis is put on silly things like TDs and point scoring, otherwise he'd be a legend. Sort of.
I say either Brees or Rodgers. Brees puts up great numbers but he does take risks (like shoveling the ball to avoid a sack and end up throwing a pick six). Rodgers rarely makes mistakes with the ball, and he plays very intelligently. I also think that Rodgers has the best vision of any QB.
