Landry has indicated that he wants to stay
hopefully this guy gets it back together - how great would it be to have him back and playing as well as he's capable
There's always 2 sides to a story, Landry's surgery comments

Landry is too talented to let walk, and in the 3-4, you need a playmaker at Safety to really set your defense apart.
but, I do agree with your conclusion. Give him a one year, incentive laden deal that gets him back here... and then let's see what happens.

I say more power to him. I offer a two year deal with a small signing bonus, average base salary, roster bonuses paid based on games played, incentive laden upgrades that would increase his base salary and a very nice roster bonus in 2013. That if he wants to be here first he'll have to take less than what he can get upfront elsewhere but have the potential to make it up before the next league year starts, then get about the same amount next year when we sign him to a extension.Countertrey wrote:OTOH, 'Los could be full of... well, you know... feathers... and talking out his... well you know... bugle...The Hogster wrote:Hopefully Landry wants to sign back here. Rogers is going to get that payday he's been wanting this off-season because he is getting a "do over" in free agency because of a one year deal turned out to be a pro bowl year. He'll get a lot more in a long term deal now than he would have if he had signed one last off-season.
If Landry returns to form a two year deal would keep him off the market next off season but they would have to re-work his contract. Meaning big money in 2013 and beyond for him.

If Laron really thinks he's going to heal up, and light it up this coming season, why would he give up the leverage he'd gain if he were a true free agent next year? He only takes the 2 year deal if he has doubts...1niksder wrote:I say more power to him. PLUS he gets to get his deal re-worked for some big money to stay even longer
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
