Ok trey - I'll agree that Campbell is both a better QB (now) than Tebow and that hypothetically the Broncos would not have done as well with Campbell playing QB - they might have thought that Campbell could handle more of the offense and not been as carefull offensively as they have
Denver has been VERY fortunate with many things the last 7 games but they've also not asked Tebow to do much (if anything) and have 'dumbed' down the offense to try and help
The Broncos are playing very well defensively and have had some luck but it has been a team deal not so much because of Tebow, is all
I'm a Tebow fan but he still has a ways to go to be a good NFL QB

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

No doubt... he is far from the model of a modern NFL quarterback... more like something from the early 30's. At some point, a smart DC will scheme his demise, unless he develops more skills as a passer... but he's sure fun to watch for now.

I'm intrigued by the phenomena - might even be tempted to think they could beat the Pats this w/e

No one would like that more than a 'Skins fan in Patsland.

Steelers..........GOT TEBOWED OUT....!!!
Notice this being said on NFLnetwork: The OT win was Tebow to Thomas, the first 2 picks of Josh Mc.
Josh Mc is now the OC for the Pats - and OH.....TEBOW is going to play the Pats and his old HC who drafted him.
WHAT A CHAIN OF EVENTS.....!!!

I think it's hilarious the Steelers got Tebowed! It couldn't happen to a more deserving team. I absolutely HATE the Steelers (like I hate Dallas), mainly because of Ben. The guy's a sicko and should be locked up, not out playing football, but he's another example of how rich and famous athletes are treated as though they're above the law....

Yeah but, 2 TDs, another rushing TD, no INTs. Big Ben's numbers 22/40, less yards, 1TD, 1 INT. He was only slightly better than 50%.

That's great for one game, but the question with Tebow will always be whether he can sustain that kind of performance over a long period of time. Statistically I don't think he's got much of a chance. To be a good QB in the league you simply have to be able to stand in the pocket and pick apart a defense from time to time.

I must admit that even though I'm a big fan of the Kid and routing for him, a gave him ZERO chance yesterday against that Steeler defense. Boy was I wrong, along with everyone else.
Completions and percentages mean very little when you look at the type of throws he's being asked to make in that offense. Very little dinking and dunking going on there .... he's throwing down field, and he made some pretty nice throws for big time gains, as well as playing smart and throwing the ball away when the situation demanded it. And he made some plays with is his legs too, moving the chains in critical situations, and extending plays. That kid is a tough competitor.
And though no one is going to mistake him for John Elway, he's still developing as a pro ... he doesn't have that much game experience yet, and given his work ethic and determination, I think it's very possible for him to become "the Man" in Denver, long term ... he's already seized the role, short term. I don't think you can ask for anything more from this kid than what he's already delivered. He's beaten the odds, ignored the nay sayers, and made good things happen for Denver.
Good Job Tebow ! Hoorah!

And order is restored to the world. Thank you, Patriots. Tim Tebow is where he should be, at home. Nice showing against the 31st ranked defense in the league.
Hell even Sex Cannon managed a better day than that. Jesus. Well that should just about be the end of his 15 minutes.

I know he got a pretty good zip on the ball. He has a quick release. . . once I seen a coupla' throws, I was just like 'Yeah, he's that dude.'"

Wrong moses....Elways still has confidence in Tebow. The well ran dry this season......but Tebow can still get better.
Wait and see......
I saw that he still does, (shaking my head). And I agree time will tell. My lot is solidly cast with the "Umm, this guy is not a good quarterback. Fullback? Great, he can be the next Mike Alstott (s/p?), but as a quarterback, good luck with that" group.
I'm curious if the pro-Tebow Timers on this thread actually think this guy is a franchise quarterback or just a journeyman. The likelihood of him ever grasping, or, to be more fair, actually being able to execute, a pro style offense is slim and the likelihood of the NFL figuring out how to stop the triple option is high. This guy is not Cam Newton, after all. How did the wildcat work out for the Dolphins in 2009? Different gimmick, same outcome after the initial surprise.

I never expected Tebow to enter the league and set it on fire. My feeling was, that he should be taken by a team that has the ability to let him sit for two or three years. The Colts (at the time, with a healthy Manning), NE, NO, SD come to mind. He should never have gone to Denver... Fortunately for him, the coach, at the time, was in way over his head, and clueless, to boot.
I would never bet against this kid. He's far smarter than emoses gives him credit for, and will out work anybody. He wants this... and it's clear, that he has the tenacity and the drive to do it.
I will not be surprized to see a pretty significant transformation in his game next year... I believe that he WILL be a quarterback.
If he doesn't... he will just turn into another gimick that the league figures out. Time will tell... but, as I said, I will NOT bet against him.

I could see that... I could see them using him as an H-back... and giving him a few snaps at quarterback in some situations.DarthMonk wrote:I predict Tebow lands with the New England Patriots.
