Disagree. If RGIII is gone and we don't trade up, stay at 6 and take either Blackmon, Claiborne, or one of the offensive linemen. Trading down is nice and all, but we need to add some elite talent to this squad and that is exactly what we can do at 6.
Claiborne, O-line, maybe... I'd be blown away if he used that pick on a WR.

Bill Walsh, who taught Shanny everything he knows said to NEVER draft a WR in the 1st round. Not sure if Shanny's done it in his career or not but I'll go with that. I also think that Blackmans gone, RG3's gone, etc.

Shanahan's history shows he doesn't agree with that. 2002 he drafted Ashley Lelie in the first round. Also,in 1998 the Broncos took wr Marcus Nash in the first.

and how did that work out........those guys are just a blip on the history.

Shanny probably learned that Walsh was right.

Canes, Do you think that the Rams will pass on Blackmon? Do you think that Claiborne is a good pick at #6. Asking for your respected opinion.

With the 6th Pick the Washington Redskins...

(With RG3, Trent Richardson, & Luck off the board)

**EspnMusic*** Trade. Acquire Cleveland's 2nd round Pick 38th overall, and the Cleveland Brown's 2nd Round Pick in 2013.

The Cleveland Browns are now on the clock. The Redskins will now pick 22nd.

I think we would get more than that. That's equal to a 2nd & 3rd this year.

That would be a serious fleecing by the Browns. Even Vinny wouldn't make that kind of trade. Our 6th pick, going by the draft chart, is worth 1600 points. The 38th pick is worth 520 points. The 2013 2nd rounder doesn't even come close to making up that difference. I can understand trading down in the first round, but completely trading out of the first is insane.

Hey, this is MY thread. It is MY decision.

But whatever YOU say 8)

Noon on the Friday of the Draft sounds good to me bro. :hail:

But since this is about bragging rights ... the one who makes an earlier prediction is ahead in bragging rights.

HEY, it is HIS pick. Kudos to him if he ends up being right. All the better to the player who makes a far to understand pick at this time BUT ends up being right. Otherwise, he is no more wrong than the rest of us.

Only the RIGHT pick wins (even if it is shared by several posters).

If he is sooooo wrong, make your pick and show him!!!

to clarify - I think Hogster indicates we get Cleveland's 2nd 1st round pick (#23) and the #2 in 2012 and #2 in 2013
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

That's a decent trade, then. I thought he was saying trading out of the first round completely. My bad Hogster.

Off topic- but those two WR shanny picked in the first round were they top ten pick? Top ten prospects? While I don't see Blackmon available or someone Shanny would draft at 6 I'd like to know if he's worth more then the other two busts

Almost picked up a bottle of that on the last cruise I was on. They had a bottle in the duty free for $450. Had the craps table been a little more kind to me, that was coming home with me.

I could actually see that happening if and only if Richardson is still on the board with the 6th pick. If Cleveland gets RGIII at 4, they may want to get him some immediate help in the backfield. Also, Hillis is a FA, and I don't think they'll be re-signing him. Actually, I think we may be able to get their 1st & 3rd this year and maybe their 1st next year. Last year, ATL went from 27 to 6 and gave up their 1st, 2nd, & 4th from 2011 and 1st & 4th from 2012.

Yeah, it's a gift and a curse. My friend has a bottle, it's really good, but because it's so expensive he only drinks it in sips.

You think that's expensive, try buying a bottle of Highland Park 50 year old, Macallan 57 years, or some Bowmore 40 year old. Yikes
