Braylon Edwards

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Oh yea, I forgot. We're stacked at WR. Thanks for the reminder. Brilliant. Most ridiculous response ever. :hmm: What do you mean why? Because he plays wide receiver, is taller than 5 foot 11, and may have some upside. And, this team has Donte Stallworth and David Anderson on the active roster.

Poll choices are Yes, No, Maybe for the right price. Your answer is "Why"

Hogman!

I voted like you.

BTW - I think Stallworth has shown he is still an NFL receiver. What took the coaches so long? Stallworth can cross a corner's or safety's face and make the tough catch

and he's good on jump balls, i.e., he's a strong redzone threat.

I say bring him back too - for the right price.

Stallworth played well this season--especially after Hankerson went down. I think the question that I'd ask is whether Edwards has more long term upside than Stallworth. I'd have to say he does. Braylon is also going to have a cooler FA market than fellow big WRs Vincent Jackson, & Dwayne Bowe. He will be had for significantly less money. And, for what it's worth, he played with Brady Quinn in CLE, Sanchez in NY (played well) and then was hurt in SF. He's at least worthy of consideration on a team that doesn't have a consistent red zone target.

Braylon Edwards seems to be an underachiever. Is there something I am missing? I would pass unless someone can convince me he has been unfairly maligned by his former teams and really is a stud receiver.

I wonder what kind of money would get Colston. The Saints have to pay many people and Colston would be an awesome fit here.

I voted "no" only because I think that we should be going after Vincent Jackson and/or Dwayne Bo this off-season. The FO has a chance to add a pro bowl caliber receiver via free agency and I think it would be a pretty big disappointment if we can't land a big-time player given our need at wr.

He would be an asset to the Skins for sure. If it were up to me, I would consider him, or Vincent Jackson. I lean toward VJ. I like the way the guy carries himself, and plays the game. He's a physical receiver that runs crisp routes, catches the ball consistently, and uses his body well in the Red Zone. While he wants to be compensated like a #1 Receiver, he produces like one and he doesn't complain about not getting balls.

I agree with you on Vincent Jackson. He is my preferred choice. I think at this point of his career, he may want to go somewhere with an established QB. Bowe strikes me as the kind of guy that wants to be paid, and would come here if we outbid others.

I love your debating technique... nouveau jerk, is it? I asked a question. How about providing an answer? Beyond a similar career of underachievement, what does he offer that Stallworth doesn't? ...in other words... Why?

Never mind. I've lost interest.

Edwards does NOT fit this team with his off-the-field behaviour and runnings with the law.

Not a character guy who can be easily substituted by other better players and persons.

No thanks.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Well considering that we have Donte Stallworth--who killed a man driving drunk--I think Edwards' DWI not resulting in a death, is a character upgrade.

But, I agree. We could go after better talent at the position, like Jackson, Bowe, or Colston.

Colston from the Saints would be AWESOME.

Remember we have a young up and comer in Hankerson.

Remember too: Randy Moss and T. Owens.........HAHAHAHA

They could be had for a small price....

The Redskins' roster is also fairly lean at this point, at least in comparison to years past. We don't have a ton of money tied up in a few nonproductive players, so there is room to bring in a stud WR.
